Me and my friends went to the Nets vs. 76ers game yesterday. We had
two tickets behind the basket and the other two were up in the
nosebleed seats (yeah I got stuck with one of those seats). I told my
friends in advance that we would have to leave by half-time cuz I got
work the next day (that was the only way I was going). They all agreed
(they better cuz I was there ride). Half-time came and my friends
wanted me to at least switch tix to see the 3rd quarter but I said
"Nah, lets get out of here".

THEN it happened. The
"What would Justice do?" thought popped in my head. (C'mon you read his
thread where he pushed 5 different cars off the Parkway to the gas
station and fixed a flat with one hand)

So I got the 2 tix (from my friends) that were by
the basket and went back to the nosebleed section where this father and
son were sitting in front of us and asked him "Do you want to sit
closer to watch the game?". I gave him the tix and he said "thanks".
And I left to meet my friends by the door.

I get
back down to the concourse and my bro suddenly remembers "I left my
jacket on my seat!". So we waited for the father and son to make it
down, I showed them where the section was and told them that my bro
left his jacket on his seat and if he can get it and give it back to
us. The father did, Thanked us again. And the kid had this BIG happy
smile on his face cuz we made his day.

I know they had a good time during the rest of the game. Who says there no justice in the world anymore.

That was a very nice thing to do. I totally believe in Karma. In September I was down in NYC for the US Open Tennis Tournament. I got hooked up with tickets for 2 (face value on each was $150) for 2 days. Cost to me? Absolutely nothing. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, I went the first day and took my daughter. We had a great time for the hour and half we were there but I realized that there was no way I was going to use the tickets the next day. Next morning, I go down to the lobby and see this dad with his 2 teenage sons talking to this annoying twat of a concierge, trying to find out how to get tickets for the day's matches. She was absolutely no help to him whatsoever.

(Now would be the time that I would say....What would Justice do????)

I walked over to the guy and told him that I overheard his conversation and that I had some tickets for him. He asked me how much I wanted for them and I told him...Nothing. They were free to me and I'm not using them. Take them and enjoy them. He asked if I wanted anything for them. I told him and his sons just to have a good time, then I turned around and left. Big thank yous and smiles from all of them.

I would have told him to "Pay it forward" after I gave him the tickets but if those words left my mouth I'd have to kick my own ass.

I consider myself an optimist. Hopefully by doing that guy a favor like that I made them think that everyone is not a scumbag and that there are people out there who will do things like that just because it was the right thing to do.

Yes, I'm sure I'll get tooled on them for not scalping the tickets but to tell the truth, I don't need the money that bad and the satisfaction I got from hooking them up was completely worth it.

The big/huge dif here is to make this a true "Justice" situation, you would have had to added the creepy element of not truly needing to be there. MDR and James were already at the events and just happened to help someone during the normal flow of your day. Justice would have just gone to the events with a tire jack and flares just in case. WWPWJD? (What would parkway jesus do?) Whatever normal people wouldn't, that's what.

Those were genuinely some nice acts of kindness, but I wouldn't talk about doing too many "Justice Deeds". It could be taken the wrong way.
