Billy was GREAT the other day and I don't blame him for turning down Ron and Fez and instead pursue a movie career. Billy has been the best thing on Ron and Fez on XM, but he's too talented for radio.

Could Billy possibly show up for work every day at a radio studio ? I
don't know if that would work.The logistics seem too

I think he is crazy for passing this gig up. its not like he has a steady job acting (that I know of anyway, i could be wrong here). i think this is a great oppertunity. He is already old, so even if he does this for 3 years or so, then gives acting another shot, its not like he is going to lose out on parts because he is told old then. he will be playing the same parts 3 years from now as he would be today.

Billy is a train wreck waiting to explode.  that is why he makes good radio. 
  You guyz remember the old days.  After a few weeks Ron and Fez would be fetup with billy as they're with Harry. and yes, Billy is an idiot to pass up his only stable job offer. I guess he can always go back to road raging against strangers. 

Hard Work may pay off in the Long run.... BUT LAZINESS PAYS OFF RIGHT NOW !!!!!

This is kinda bothering me now.  I heard a very large chunk of the show Billy was on while driving out to PA this Saturday.  I don't remember hearing the passing up of ANYTHING.  Also, if something like Billy being offered a position on the show was offered on air, I think an official thread would have started right after the show by Mikeyboy or someone else.  Lastly, XMJunkie is a fucking hack poster who only stops by to remind us how much of a "nazi" Blowhard is.  I take aboslutly NOTHING he says at face value.Point out where this happened or shut the fuck up.

I hope that Billy remembers what Billy West did when he was hard-up for
work.I had a little to do with the story,but when Billy West was still
in his prime he was brought in for the Stern show on a pretty good
string of appearances.Billy Staples,listen to me now if you want the
secret to life.PERSEVERE.Jackie promoted his gigs on Stern,but the
tension was high with him and Stern& Staff (well documented).West
mentioned he was in recovery.I sent tapes to Stern almost weekly,told
Stern to HIRE WEST for Part Time O N L Y,so Jackie wouldn't be
pissed,but just so Jackie could do his meat & potatos weekend
gigs,come in Monday and slack off.West came in mon-tues-weds only,as I
requested.Billy Staples,ONE JOB WILL GET YA 10.

Leave it to Billy to make the wrong decision.Sure he might land some more of those "z" list gigs (like playing a 2 second mental patient in the Dave Attel (sp.) bit that landed on comedy central).But, will that secure a decent living? I doubt it.Will it lead to a starring role in movies? No way on Earth - or Earth 2 for that matter.Is there any demand for Billy Staples in Hollywood? My point in bringing up the Billy West example is that both He and
Jackie used the show as a springboard to bigger and better things that
pay well.It's not JUST that XM/R&F are going to pay that well,but
the constant ability to PLUG your appearnces and gigs,like Jimmy
Norton,everybody's SWEETHEART,is worth every day you SHOW UP.Woody
Allen said that half the battle is just SHOWING UP.Billy may have a
MOTIVATION PROBLEM that comes with middle age(yeah I'm 48 in 2
months).But,what I'm trying to get across to Billy Staples is that
being "ON AIR" has great benefits in spin-off well playing
jobs,AND   AND   AND provides a CUSHION income in
hard times.Then the next time Billy gets arrested he will have
notoriety and a REAL JOB,so the officers will be forced to Fe**** him
once they find out he's the famous 3rd mike sidekick whipping boy GIANT
ORANGE BALL OF FAILURE on XM Radio.But you all knew what I meant.

I agree Bobo, because Billy never passed up anything if you listen to the show.  He was offered nothing on air.  This whole thread it pointless.  We love Billy, but this is a non-topic because it discusses something that never even aired.

my uninformed opinion that R&F were FEELING BILLY OUT on whether or
not he was UP for the gig of coming back and working for them.I can
only assume that it's been a rough SEE-SAW year for R&F,and they
are a little more hesitant to make wrong moves after landing the XM gig
and settling in back in NYC.Billy is probably in NY forever,not going
to leave soon.Friends old and new may throw a monkey wrench into the
mix.When Mikey D and Staples,the 2 radio vets were battling the welps
Wonderboy and Harry Elvis in the past it was good for radio bits,but
now there's a different staff and situation.Now only Harry survives
with the show since 2002.XM 202 isn't WNEW,so a different set of
older/wiser RF parameters are in place.Having the pressure of quarterly
Radio ratings books is gone somewhat.Billy may function better as a
guest than full or part timer.I say let them all ease into it,like by
making Billy a fill-in or part -timer and see how it goes for
everyone.That couldn't HURT anyone.A Part-timer Billy Staples is a good
thing as a compromise to what we in the minority want.STAPLES NOW

You guys arent listening close enough. Didnt you hear that Billy had something big to announce in the next few months? Then Ron asked him to write it on a piece of paper. He read the paper and said that Billy was going to get to play Goofy. We all ready know Billy is goofy, in fact I think he's mildly retarded but that's besides the point. Think about the clues that we have here. Billy has a big announcement, Ron says its goofy, Billy said he wouldnt mind working in radio again...Can we say Radio Disney?
