I will throw out a few suggestions. Off the Wagon (MacDougal Street) Spacious, good slider (burgers)Down the Hatch (west 4th St) Same owners as above but specializing in atomic wings. Not as big as Off the Wagon, but decentScruffy Duffy's (8th by 46th) Nice place plenty of room and decent service.I happen to like the Red Rock, but unless your driving, its a pain in the ass to get to. My 3 suggestions are all located somewhat close to subways and are easy to get to.  Just my 2cents from a guy who puts his arm in front of East Side Dave.

I hate going to different bars every time I go out because then you cannot build a rapport or get any buy backs when you're a new face. Weekends suck because the bars are full of weekend amatuers and it's impossible to get a situation where it'll be almost exclusively R&F ppl in attendance unless it's reserved and we can guarantee a turnout.I know the Karavas lower bar was usually available, I did it for Alkey's birthday one year, but other than that you're shit out of luck in Manhattan.In general, no matter what events have been organized on R&F there's always- I have no money, I'm working, It's inconvenient.Once a month, go out, drink a little less than you'd like to, sleep a little less than you'd like to, but have a good time with friends instead of staring at a computer screen.

We decided that since no one can agree on what bar they like, I'm going to ask you all to post your local bar, club, or friends house that you like to hang out in, and on Wednesday night November 16th Ron and Fez will drive around to each bar and hang out with you for 15 minutes.

I can't think of another show that has ever been as open with their listeners than R&F. It speaks a lot of both them and their fans that they feel comfortable enough to do this. It's very cool how accessible and fun they are, and to anyone wondering if they should show up, it's always been worth it. So far, however, I don't think, that anyone expressing their opinions in this thread has slid over into the ungrateful category - I just haven't gotten the vibe that people wanting to mix up the location or the day of the week is taking Ron and Fez, the show, or other listeners for granted. 

I'd rather have hope in my soul than soap in my hole...

BTW. I'm going to blame this one on either my
dyslexia or my lack of reading comprehension, and I completely,
utterly, and totally missed the fact that Ron and Fez are going to be
there. I simply thought this was just an RF.net bar gig that we do from time to time, and not an "official" thing. Because of that, I will change my stance and state that it's TOTALLY R&F's call where they have a bar night. HOWEVER. I still think that non-appearance bar nights should be at different bars.
