Seems Fez had a mild heart attack. Only going on w/ what Ron is saying but he said Fez was not feeling well, saw a docotor, and, my guess, as soon as they hooked him up to the ECG, it showed he was having/had an MI. My guess is they then he had an agiogram, where they inject dye into your coronary arteries, and watch to see how the blood is flowing thru them. Ron said one was 100% blocked. Not good news, but since Ron says Fez will be 100% OK, my guess is the coronary artery that was blocked supplied a part of the heart where other vessels can make up a bit for athe lost blood supply.Heart attack, MI, is defined by tissue damage/death due to the loss of blood supply, and it ranges from the massive MI, where you grab your chest and keel over, to 'silent' heart attacks, where there is little discomfort, and with some, none at all. The damage may be minimal. Usually its the ECG that plainly shows the deal. The stent is a little wire tube that is inserted into the CA that is blocked; sounds like he had a balloon angioplasty, where before the stent is put in they insert a folded balloon into the vessel and gently inflate it to open the artery; once open the stent is placed in, its drugs to stop clotting, rest, and the whole diet thing for the...Diabetes, which is what most of us are just Begging to get. It's simply exploding, the numbers. Ron keeps blaming himself, whats to blame is the fact that our diets have radically changed in just the last couple of centuries as compared to our entire time on earth. The massive amounts of refined sugars that we pour into our bodies are simply, poisons. Sugar fucks up your body. Bad. Depending on severity, diet alone can keep some in check, but as Jefe said, its the discipline;can people quit booze and limit the sugars, for the rest of there now sober and boring-diet lives?

Lucky for fez, the hospitals on Roosevelt Island are the best in their field...unfortunately, that field is psychiatry. Fez, I had to go back to the old thread to read the news, and it was like hearing that a favorite uncle had a heart attack. I felt sick. I'm glad that youll be 100%, and I hope for my own selfish benefit that youre able to return to xm very very soon. Ron, thanks for coming in and keeping us entertained during this scary time, just like you both did for us in September, 2001. Keep up the good work!

Best of luck for a speedy recovery budday! I heard the news and had a weird feeling about him after I heard the Halloween show and one of the comments that Fezzie had made. My mom has had heart surgery and he had made a comment on the air I remember at the time thinking if he was having problem with his heart. Just a little weird feeling I had at the time. I hope everything works out well.

This hit me hard today. I thought about all the laughs he's given me over the years. I thought about how he's got me through my days, my nights, and through some tough times in my life, with a smile on my face. I just want Fez to know that he is appreciated. I want him to know that although we arent close friends, that he doesnt really know me all that well, or that I know him any more then the person he is on air. I just want him to know that he matters to me, to all of us. I wish him a speedy recovery and a full healthy life from here on out.Get well soon Fezzy!Wow Bobby said it best for exactly how I felt when I heard the news. There I was also expecting to hear some news about an addition to the show or some other bit that was going on, and then Ron just dropped the news. My throat got all choked up. I thought about Fezzie all day and everything he and Ronnie have done to brighten my darkest days and I just appreciated them even more than I have in the past.

we don't like hearing "chest pain". I'm glad that you are gonna be
okay. (I guess that this proves that bootysex doesn't protect you from
heart attack, huh?)Diabetes does suck for a while then once you
get into the groove with monitoring your sugar and getting your meds
right, you'll find that you're feeling better than ever and your
erections come back. You'll be pissy and cranky for a while but its
worth fighting through. I use an insulin pump, which is the most
awesome way to get your insulin just in time. You can even manage your
glucose so that you can have an occasional indulgence without causing
any lasting harm. And you gotta watch that you take care of your feet.
No more having the interns cutting your toenails with dykes. Or for
that matter, no more letting your dykes cut your toenails with interns.No,
you will not be saying "this heart attack was the best thing to ever
happen to me" but it will give you a great opportunity to try some new
things. If you got any questions about the medical crap you're going
