Over this past weekend, Giant Brian & friends created a 6ft doll of terrell owens and brought it into work today for the John Debella morning show in Philly.

Then they had Intern "Thud" take the doll out on the street and invited the public to come down and "Kick T.O. Out of Town"

The angry mob kicked the dummy all over Philly. The wacky intern was then instructed to throw T.O. off of a bridge... (see pic below)

Needless to say, Thud was arrested by police and charged with: Disorderly conduct, insighting a riot, and disturbing the peace.....

Most of this went down as the show was ending - so tomorrow there will be more details about his arrest. OK, so it's not sex in a church - but it's still pretty vile.

Jeers to you Brian. You know better. Someone could've been hurt. I hope Jesus forgives you my son.

The JDB show can now be heard online:

Living in Philly, I have one thing to say. Nice PIC of the refineries. Or the fertilizer plant. Whatever, anyway, This is SO normal, and perhaps to the rest of the country it may seem extreme. In Philly, the fans are totally insane. While Owens is a tool and deserves to be sent to whatever team will have him, the fans are as fickle as the wind. They can love you one minute and hate you the next. I love the Eagles, but it is painful to listen to sports talk radio and hear the fans who hate the players they loved a week ago. Oh well. Just some insight from someone who had to live with the of rooting for a team in a crazy town.

IsSheDead? Is this what women walking into work want to have to say?

Isshedead nailed it. The fans are ... berserk and starved for a champion in Philly. Sports are huge here, football by far the biggest (although not mine personally) but all 4 are watched and debated about. He didnt go too far, and I bet they drop charges unless some new 20 year old guido cop.

According to the Philly Inquirer, Giant Brian had nothing to do with this bit.

John DeBella's morning-show producer at WMGK-FM (102.9) is out, and it's not clear whether he quit or was pushed.

Pushed is the operative word here.

As part of an on-air stunt Nov. 14, Sam Hagopian, known as Thud, kicked a life-size stuffed effigy of Eagles wide receiver Terrell Owens through the streets of Center City.

Hagopian and faux T.O. ended up at the Ben Franklin Bridge.

DeBella wanted Hagopian to push the thing off the bridge. Hagopian, no dummy about the law, resisted. But DeBella pressed on.

Hagopian then pulled a fast one on listeners. While holding the
doll, he intimated that he had indeed pushed it over - as bridge police
closed in and busted him for disturbing the peace.

Station insiders said DeBella was not pleased that Hagopian had fibbed. DeBella did not return calls last week.

Hagopian, 24, of Oreland, who started as a DeBella intern while a
Temple University student in May 2003, said Friday that "it was time
for me to move on."

Greater Media, which owns the classic-rock station, offered him part-time work as a technical producer for Jay Lamont's All About Real Estate on sister station WPEN-AM (950).

Greater Media also agreed to pay a $100 fine (plus $30 court costs).
Hagopian, who said he was job-hunting, pleaded not guilty at a hearing
Monday.

"We don't think he actually disturbed the peace," said WMGK's program director, who goes by Cruze. He said Hagopian had grown weary of his man-on-the-street role on the show.

All vestiges of Thud, including the T.O. prank, are gone from
DeBella's Web site. And the T.O. doll - done for the season, as well -
sits in WPEN's studios.

Cruze said DeBella would name a new producer after Dec. 7's DeBella DeBall, a free event in its 24th year.

If he didn't push it, I don't see how they "went to far".

Anyhoo-hoo, Philly radio is just downright awful. DeBella, Barsky, Preston & Steve????

Thank God for XM!!!!
