Awful Commercials

<p>I'm sure this topic has been posted in the past but I decided to post it anyway.</p><p>What commercials do you find to be the most annoying ?</p><p>Either television or radio ?</p><p>The 2 that come to my mind right away are :</p><p>Capital One with David Spade.&nbsp; They were funny in the beggining but have just gotten stupider with each showing.</p><p>The Essurance commercials. The premise is retarded and the &quot;bits&quot; are lame.</p>

<p>Just from a marketing POV, I hate any commercial where I don't exactly know what the commercial is trying to tell me.</p><p>EX:</p><p>Fidelity Investments is pumping some new spots featuring Paul McCarntey.&nbsp; The first 55 seconds feature a visual history of Paul.&nbsp; Him...his early career...Beatles....his kids...stage pyro...Studio footage....Wings... horseback riding(?!)...and some more live footage.</p><p>In the last few seconds of the spot, a voiceover mentions SOMETHING about Fidelity and to &quot;never stop doing what you love&quot;.&nbsp; This, of course, has nothing to do with ANY of the imagery that preceeds that statement.&nbsp; Fidelity had less than nothing to do with any of Pauls accomplishments.&nbsp; They probably weren't even a company back then but, even if they were....what in the <em>hell</em> does that have to do with Paul riding a horse?</p><p>How is this an ad for anything other than Paul McCartney and how great he is?</p><p>Bad ad.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>edit:link to&nbsp;Fidelty spot: &nbsp;<a href="http://events.startcast.com/events/16/b0042/code/eventframe.asp">http://events.startcast.com/events/16/b0042/code/eventframe.asp</a></p><p><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v355/tucker71/fezident.jpg" border="0" /> </p><p>Killing threads since 2002.</p>
