I cannot believe there has not been a hate discussion on how the Sports Chicks are complete radio posion.It just goes to show how great Ron is, that he was able to toe the line of making fun of these broads and still keep them liking him.Those holes were unlistenable.  Yeah I get it.........you guys like to talk about sex, booze, and sports.  So uncliche....................FUGGIN HACKS.Oh my god did she just say she would blow a guy.........holy cow I really like her because she is just so in your face.  I would love to hang out with all of them just to see what they say.Get well Fezzie.

Let's get one thing straight.  I don't NOT like women on the radio and I didn't dislike these women on the show today JUST BECAUSE they were women.But I didn't like them on the show today AT ALL.  Things yomudder21 was talking about were true.  They almost OVER DO an in your face attitude because they seem to feel they have something to overcome just being women on the radio talking sports and "guy" topics.Just be funny ladies, and if you are truly funny, people will listen.  I wasn less than impressed and hope Ron has another set of rotating co-hosts set up for tomorrow.

from what i heard they weren't forcing the funny... they spoke well, sounded intelligent, and didn't try to portray themselves as something they're notthe show had a a somber feel to it due to what was being discussed about Billy and his family. As much as people may want it to seem funny it's pretty sad 'in my book' when you are being rejected by your own daughter...  i've met Billy once or twice and he always seemed like a nice guy and i'm sure it's gotta hurt

FUNKMAN you must be nuts.What the hell was somber about 100 Ramone calls.  I was praying for the Ramone calls.  I could have listened to them for 9 straight hours.Those girls have no talent and that was made funnier by Ronnie mentioning (over and over) that Eric Logan would be signing them up for 202.  That is called a joke and a funny one at that.I don't want to have a beer with them.  I don't care what they think about A-Rod on the front of the paper.  They had to preface themselves by saying, "Hey we don't know stats from 15 years ago but we do know sports."  I have heard dumb broads say that a thousand times and it means YOU KNOW NOTHING.URGH..............that was such cringe radio I wanted to smash my XM2Go.  All those bitches need is the God Warrior and they can get syndicated.

It seemed Earl could hardly name more than a few black rock and roll people. i'm sure he can do some homework before saturday but you would think if it's been a project he's taken heart to he could have at least named 4 or 5 of them muddersor is it all part of a bit?

I didn't mind them. Granted I wouldn't listen to them everyday but for one day it was okay. <div>I do like when anything about Ronnie's past is brought up, its an interesting story from the tiny pieces I have heard.</div>

I really enjoyed today's show. I used to live in the Tampa area, so I'd listen to Ron & Ron from 6-10 am and the girls would follow from 10-2. So basically I heard Fez for nearly 8 hours a day. There were quite a few times that Bennington would come in with them or just phone in.
Iris started on their show as well as Carl the Pothead.

Oh my god did she just say she would blow a guy.........holy cow I really like her because she is just so in your face.  I would love to hang out with all of them just to see what they say.Almost like when Norton says he fucks hookers, or OnA talk about anything with teens being hot.  Are they trying too hard to be edgy as well?Quite frankly, the whole "Women aren't funny", "Female Comics stick to the same topics",  and immediately concluding that anything a chick says about sex is either hack or overcompensation is getting really boring and sounds trite.How about most comics talk about what they know.  I found the segments I heard of the show entertaining.  They held their own in the segment with Billy.  The "Ramone" calls are too ridiculous to bother to respond to.  Why try to be funny or in a retort to an ASS that doesn't even bother to try to be creative in insulting you?The whole anti woman sentiment is what's turned me off ALOT to O n A recently and I really couldn't stand if it started fermenting on this board as well.  Maybe the reason R n F events aren't sausage fests is because their show doesn't cater to the lowest common denominator.  I'm a huge O n A fan but when they have a woman on that's neither a "hole" or a "whore" they're shit out of luck - case in point the chick from "Curb Your Enthusiasm" Susie Essman who was on a few weeks back and basically wiped the floor with both Opie and Anthony.

Amen to what Silera said. Admittedly I purchased XM because Ron and Fez were headed there, but I was also excited to hear Opie and Anthony again. I've been so continually disappointed in how routine, hackneyed, and trite their humor has become that I no longer listen.

Every single show of theirs sounds like a repeat of the previous day, and I don't know why. I remember them as being witty and inventive in the "old" days, but they seem content to harp on the same material day in and day out.

I realize this isn't a "bash O n A" thread, but I had to vent.

There is a strong Anti-Woman feeling to a lot of O&A shit, that's one of the big reasons I will never like them as much as Ron and Fez.  I thought the beloved 55 Gallon Drum Challenge was the worst radio O&A have ever done.  Now it seems they're going to use fat women as a game on their show.  Blech.Again, I didn't dislike these women today because they're women.  I disliked them because I didn't find most of what they were saying funny.  There are a lot of funny women in comedy.  Maybe their hacks stand out more?  I don't care, I just know I didn't like these women on the show today.

They were unfunny for many reasons.  One of them being not being able to hang with those Ramone callers.  The Ramone bit is stupid, THAT IS WHY IT IS FUNNY.  Get it now, and they couldn't deal with it.  I never said that they were unfunny because they were women, they are getting bashed on because they have to push it in our faces that they are 'chicks.'They are the ones that have to push the issue of them being women.  THEY CALL THEMSELVES THE SPORTS CHICKS.  Anyone who calls themselves chicks, then opens that door.  You don't hear RandF calling themselves "The Funny Dudes."  If they did then there would be no board here to type on because they would be hacky AM radio humps being barely heard out of the Tampa area (ummmm, just like the sports chicks).And who do you think was letting those calls through.  You think Ronnie doesn't know what is coming through on the boards.  You think he doesn't have 100% control on exactly what callers he is picking up on.  He hung them out to dry and it was freaking hilarious.So it really isn't me that doesn't like them, it is America.  If they were so scary talented then it wouldn't have been a joke when Ron said E Lo was really considering them for 202.  I am not going to like everyone they have on the show.

One thing that annoyed me was the "Oh, I'm not that pretty" ::pause for compliment from Ronnie:: thing that went on during different parts of the 12-1 hour I heard.  I don't care WHAT they look like, it's radio.  At least the one that was helped by Ron gave some respect back to him on the air.  That was cool.

everyone tooled on those girls today.  i haven't heard one person get it that bad since the xm show started.they got it way worse then Billy did, Earl ever did, even Harry.  There was nothing but love for Jefe and Dubs.And that is not becuase they are all men either, it is because those 'chicks' are just gimicky and the reason people pay to hear OandA and RandF is because they are real radio shows.it still means a lot that peopl are willing to pay for radio.  ten years from now it won't.sorry i don't like 'zoo' shows.  that is what i feel they are.and i am not an OandA poster who just wants to say hole, C, or have to throw in the ubiquitous Connor Peterson joke.  you just know exactly what i mean when i said radio hole.  that is a term they use twice a day.<img src="http://www.mcaconline.com/TaintOnTheRadio.jpg" border="0" />KIT with yourself.

This thread boils down to one thing: Hate.No one had a problem with your opinion, it was the hate towards the fact that they were women that got this 'ol ball a rollin'.  I do agree with you to an extent that they're using the fact that they're "women in a man's world and a man's topic" as a gimmick.  I just don't like the "hole" refrence.  Kinda degrading.

Are they really "using" it or is that simply the case?  I'm not a feminist at all.  I simply think that their performance didn't merit this thread. I don't take myself too seriously.  I like to have fun and joke around.  Most of the time, I make men laugh and women cringe.  Because of that, I have gotten a lot of shit that closely resembles this thread tossed in my direction.  "I'm a shock poster"  "Attention Whore"  "Gimmick"  In fact, anyone that's ever bothered to get past the fact that I'm a chick that doesn't look like she drinks Big Mac Power Shakes for breakfast lunch and dinner, realizes that I'm nothing they expected me to be.

well it is late so it is time to share.my girlfriend used to yell at me when i would come home from work and put on RandF.  this was years ago but the hurt has remained.  maybe that is why i lashed out on a group of innocent women who were just there to have a good time today in the big city.maybe someday i will find someone who can appreciate a sharp whitted lad from philly and his ambigiously gay sidekick as much as me.  until then, i will just have to keep typing things like ambigiously gay sidekick and cry myself to sleep.that actually DOES make you a bad person.

much as we all love Ron and Fez, 202 is still basically Opie and
Anthony's station.  In addition to listeners they've accquired
from being on in Fla, NYC, and DC a lot of their listeners, if not most
at this stage are overflow from Opie and Anthony. So, is there any
possibility the girls got smashed the way they did because O&A have
set the tone for women to be reacted to in that way? Just the same way
as if Billy had a great appearance and he was killing, people would
call in and smash him because Ron and Fez have set it up that way and
in reality it has little to do with how funny or unfunny he is.

Do it with the soda.  Coke works better than Sprite.  It's almost like a Ice Cream Soda consistency.  EDIT: I have no idea how this would taste to a normal person.  I did it when I was pregnant with my first son because I couldn't chew food without vomiting. I have no idea how this would taste to a normal person.  I did it when I was pregnant with my first son because I couldn't chew food without vomiting. It's probably completely vile.I just had four wisdom teeth removed, and can really only drink foods right now like soup. So I figured I would give this a shot, worst thing is I waste like $4 on an experiment. One I could share credit with (hooo hooo, he's ripping me off).
