Old Ron & Ron clips

I was on the WTKS (Real Radio, Orlando) webboard, and I noticed someone posted some old clips of Ron & Fez (they were Ron & Ron back then) . It brought back some great memories. It was posted in the Monsters of the Midday section of the webboard. It is the Ron & Ron thread.

There used to be old clips http://criticalmas.com/radio/ronandfez/home.asp but NBCi shit the bed and he lost a bunch, including the great on air fight between Ron and Ron where Ron Diaz walked off the show. Thus creating...Ron and Fez.

The other Ron is still doing morning radio for a classic rock station in Tampa. I live here, I know... to quote Norton "he stinks".

We can't even get Stern here. Opie said they were coming, I'll believe it when I see it.

I record R&F an O&A and listen in the car. A day old tape beats a live broadcast of anything we have here. R&F knew what that they had to move on.

Now you also know a little background on why Whatley Radio exists....

Hey guys, I just downloaded the on air fight, and I'm not exactly sure what was going on. To me the clip was made out to be a lot more than it actually was. What was the premise for the fight? Can anyone tell me what was happening during that time on the Ron & Ron show?

Heroin Bob, we don't even get Lex and Terry in Tampa. I listen to them on their Seattle affiliate (since I get to work at 8) until I can get my own GD station at noon before O&A.

In my opinion, the perfect radio day (or at least the one I have) is Lex and Terry in the morning, Ron and Fez middays (could take an hour away from L&T), then O&A. As for nights, who cares, throw Don & Mike on.

Bar Crawl shows are excluded from this argument!!! Even drunk, I know those shows are some good S.

The beauty of the Ron and Ron fight is the subtlety and sarcasm of Ron Bennington (the REAL Ron). It was so real. An all out brawl would have been less interesting to me.

This is the weirdest post I've made in a while. I started analysing it like I would any celebrity, but now I feel strange because, based on the quality of their show, I feel like Ron and Fez are my friends and I'm sitting here critically analizing major events in their lives. Weird.

I guess that's what Phillip Seymour Hoffman meant when he talked about critics not becoming friends with rock stars in Almost Famous.

Yes it was obvious just listening to the clip that the other Ron was just an egotistical prick who didn't have the curtesy of being decent to a coworker who he worked with for a long time. Yes Ron maintained dignity as he always does and I hope the quote
"Living Well is the Best Revenge"
will be Ron's fate and the karma that Rons life decisions have taken him will give him and his family sucess and happiness.
