I chose the coveted 8:30 - 8:59 slot.  It's prime time for board crashing.  People are all home, had dinner and start to think about relaxing.  Turn on their XM feeds and post about things.Good times.

Every 20 minutes.  Whenever I hear John Minko, I know the board's down Even the most degenerative of gamblers does not need "Scores" in the early afternoon.  I am annoyed just thinking about it.  You know what makes me nuts?  When shows (especially Mike and Dog who do this all the time) go to break for like 5 minutes and come back 2 minutes before the update!  I've timed it and there are so many instances where you'll get about two minutes of talk sandwiched between commercials with an update thrown in for good measure.  I found Ron & Fez through the Opie and Anthony show.  I found the Opie and Anthony show when I finally could not take all the breaks and updates from WFAN anymore.  Whenever I run into people that are listeners it is a subject that never fails to be brought up and everyone agrees it is terrible and causes people to just tune out.  Sometimes for months or years at a time.  I personlly know of several friends that love the show but just had to tap out cause the breaks and constant sport updates.  How are you suppose to get any kind of topic going when there are constant interruptions? People bitch about all the advertisements during Stern's show and I don't know why.  I think he's got it nailed down.  A while back he would break for 10 to 11 minutes.  You could set your watch by it.  Through the years it has increased and now it is at approximately 12 to 13 minutes per break.  I look at the clock and turn on Imus or go do something, whatever.  I come back and he's on.  Then you have ample time for whichever topic or segment you want to move on with.  When I started listening to O and A I immediately realized they used the same kind of format and I was thrilled.  It then became next to impossible to go back to the constant barrage of interruptions that is the Mike and the Mad Dog show.  A year later and after "Sex for Sam" I did indeed go back and unfortunately nothing has changed.Anyone find themselves singing "AVIS DISCOUNT TIRES...AMERICA'S DISCOUNT TIRE STORE" without even realizing you're doing it?

watch for a few minutes if my dad happens to flip by it. I believe you are talkin about Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless, and they are both HORRIBLE
