When I start IE. It will go to the homepage, however When the page loads it stays frozen, I can not click on a hyperlink or go to another page. Is this a virus? What can I do to fix this problem?

Did you run a virus scan? What did it say?

Does everything else on your computer work OK?

There was no virus, just ran a scan. Everything else is working fine. I have a cable modem, maybe the modem is shot?

I don't think so. If the modem was shot, it wouldn't access a webpage at all.

Well, it may just be displaying the last known version of that webpage from your cache or whatever. Hit refresh, if it displays the ol' no web page thing, it may be the modem. If it displays the web page loaded properly again and then won't let you access hyperlinks, it's something else.

I was actually very anti-mozilla. I'm very hesistant to
change, I still use the Windows Classic skin on XP. BUT - when I
found out that Mozilla had an IE skin.... it was all over. Long
live Mozilla.

Did you try setting the home page to something else? Go to Internet Options in the control panel without IE opened to set a different home page.

Did you do a spyware scan? Spybot or Adaware - anything else is just pretending to remove spyware while injecting more into your system.
