There's a new trend I've noticed from purchasing a Blackberry and an Ipod -- they don't provide instruction manuals. You get a slim little "quick start" guide that gives you the basics on operating your equipment, but if you're looking for a full scale instruction manual, you have to look to the internet and/or the provided install CD. I understand the reasoning behind this -- most people don't use their instruction manuals at all, so the companies producing these devices, they save a little money. However, some of us like to use the instruction manual, especially to figure out all of the less obvious features of our new devices. And hey, these things aren't cheap, so it seems like for the cost of the unit, they ought to go the extra mile for us. Anyone else notice this thing going on?
