Listerners complaining about the show today [Archive]

O&A fans (non ron&fez fans) didn't know what to expect when RF took over the first O&A replay slot.  A lot of us gave it a shot.  The people that were complaining today simply don't like the show.do they not get it?  what does it matter.  they have every right to complain.  there are a lot of us that PAID to receive O&A up until earlier this year.  Those of us on the west coast have peak commute as O&A are ending.  As such, the bulk of our O&A exposure was replay1 & replay3.to simply put it, r&f fucked that up.  now, we're forced to "change the channel" if we dont want to get bored to death.  listening to the replay meant the show was over and done by the time you were hearing it for the first time.  that kinda sucked, but we're not getting up at 4am just to hear it live.  so now we've lost the commute replay.  for the west coast, r&f REPLACED O&A for commuters.  dont be suprised if we'd rather listen to O&A then rf.Ron and Fez are NOT Opie and Anthony.  we got shorted.  to further simplify it, who would you rather listen to, O&A or r&f?  simple answer.  west coast morning commuters had O&A taken away from them.  a good show was replaced with a "sometimes ok" show.at least it gives me time to listen to podcasts.  why couldnt they fuckin put r&f on 152 or 153 or whatever that other station is.  so no, all r&f listeners are not fans.  they are just people that got fucked out of O&A.  expect that we might call in to bitch about it.  you'd be pissed if your favorite radio show was replaced with this palaver.

Uh...did you REALLY think that O&A were going to have their own CHANNEL? It's called "High Voltage", not "The O&A Station." Ron and Fez are an awesome addition to XM and as hard as it may be for you to believe, they are the ONLY reason I upgraded my Direct TV package.  I like O&A, but as far as I'm concerned, I would rather listen to Ron and Fez, 24-7.  You better be grateful that Opie and Anthony are on as much as they are now, because I wouldn't be surprised if another show or two was added to 202.  Dude, O&A are on almost nonstop, all day.  Stop whining that R&F are ruining things.  Maybe if you stopped trying to sound like a badass, you'd wake up and realize that Ron and Fez are comedic geniuses.  They are NOT O&A, and that's a great thing.  And, incidentally, if you think that Ron and Fez suck so much, then why are you taking the time to post on their message board? in your car, and yet your dumbass can't figure out how to hook up you
mp3 player to your car, and listen to recorded shows.  All you can
do is come here and complain, not about O and A being taken off, but
because you can't listen to the first replay until 3.  Boo fucking
hoo.  How do  you listen to Stern without getting up early in

$2500 for equipment?  that is crazy.  i'd be really pissed if i hit a dead spot.  must be one giant atena.if you don't like R&F thats fine, but then don't come to the board.  there are plenty of threads to complain about this issue on wackbag or the other O&A sites.  I'm more of an O&A fan myself, but I enjoy both shows and if i didn't i wouldn't come here to complain about it.

It's the old "Majority Rules" idea.  A vast majority of O&A fans like the Ron and Fez show too, so they stay.  Also, remember all that "Golden Ticket" excietment you O&A fans were having?  What the fuck do you think even MORE shows on 202 will do for your replays?  Ron and Fez rule and O&A pulled to get them on 202.  I know the Golden Ticket thing is done for now, but as others have said in this thread, it's not "O&A Radio" it's "High Voltage" which means it's O&A's channel to an extent, not completely.  Lastly, if you don't like it, go to hell.

Nice job, Moe! Also, as far as Ron and Fez being the same as any other radio show out there, or even being a copy of O&A, that is absolute b*llshit.  R&F are the most original, witty, hilarious couple of guys I've ever heard.  And they were doing great radio, long before Opie and Anthony were even paired up.  Ron and Fez are not only awesome comedians, but they're also great people.  NOBODY has as great a rapport with their fans, as R&F do.  As one of the callers today said, during 9/11, they held NYC together.  Anyone who bashes them is clearly ignorant of their long and brilliant careers.  Opie and Anthony may be more popular than Ron and Fez, but I GUARANTEE YOU, no one is more loved by their true fans and listeners, more than R&F.  When you insult them, you insult me.  I can only hope that their detractors will just give them a chance, and stop comparing them to O&A.

the thing that pisses me off is that O&A have been hitning  every since they came to 202 that they would try to expand the channel with NEW and DIFFERENT Shows that are good. All of a sudden this actually does happen and these faggots go on the board and say "What the hell happened". If you really did care about losing an O&A replay then you should've been complaning about it 7 months ago.  I have problems with R&F's timeslot. I think its a shitty timeslot and hard to listen to The ROn and Fez show. They need a replay aty 3-7 or 7-11 or something.

Is there even anything to REALLY respond to here?R&F aren't going anywhere.  O&A wanted them on 202, so short of them somehow getting negative ratings and causing massive amounts of people to cancel their subscriptions, they're staying.  As it's been said, O&A have been going on and on about adding new shows to 202 for the better part of this year, so they were going to lose replay time no matter who ended up joining them.  It sounds more like skellum's beef is that R&F aren't O&A...so wouldn't he have been pissed no matter who ended up joining them on High Voltage?What skellum did bring up that I sort of agree with on a different level is this idea of "national radio shows."  Personally, I think it's horrible.  A morning drive show on one coast can't work on the other because of the time difference, it's that simple.  How Infinity is replacing Stern with different shows for the east, west and middle of the country is something I think is brilliant.  I think having a "local" (in this case still multiple states, but still, infinitely better than all 50) show works MUCH better for building a stronger base of loyal listeners, and ultimately makes for a better show.  Trying to appeal to EVERYONE everywhere, in my opinion, weakens and dilutes the best parts of a radio show.  I don't think R&F or O&A should be the choice out west for a LIVE morning show unless they're actually located out there.But that's just me.

I listen to the R and F replay weeknights at midnight on my way home from work. Oddly enough, the 1st friday or saturday night that I heard O and A instead, I didnt feel the need to cry, complain, or even tell anyone else about my disappointment. I just chalked it up to the station's schedule, and changed to something more suitable to my taste. I knew I'd be able to hear R and F again very soon. No need to panic. but maybe thats just my laid back east coast attitude.

I went out and got XM for the sole purpose of listening to Ron & Fez. I don't give a damn if that guy isn't happy with it making him miss one O&A replay. I don't think O&A are that great, and I'd have never heard them at all if it weren't for R&F! Ron & Fez have helped XM, because of people like me.

Good point Papabear.  I love O&A, but they weren't enough to make me get XM.  The second I heard the boys signing off for the last time in DC I was already starting to figure out how I was going to get a radio or online sub at the very least.  The shows helped each other, and compliment each other nicely.

Ron and Fez in my opinion are the best show on radio.  I never heard of them before they came to DC and there was very little promotion of them by their station yet I became a listener after the very first time I heard them.  Everyone I know here in DC who gave them a chance became a listener as well so I find it difficult to understand your polemic against them.  The only reason I have a fucking XM subscription is to listen to them.  I find O&A impossible to tolerate or listen to so I don't, why don't you give that a try?

I too would never had gotten XM if it hadn't been for Ron & Fez, and I'll keep listening til they're off the air.  I do have a solution for our skellum firestarter though:Sell the head unit on ebay, with any luck you'd get about $1500 for it if you really did pay $1700 for it.  With that recovered fortune, take 280 and get yourself an XM MyFI, upon which you can record your shows early in the morning and listen on the way to work.  Plus, you'll get a good chunk of money back for other use.

I don't understand how anyone can complain about either show if they are a fan of the other. If you like one of the show you HAVE to know that they are all friends and like working together. You don't have to like both shows, you don't have to like either one. You know, I just wanted to say that I agree with skellum now.This morning I drove to work and heard a really funny O&A bit where they played these FUCKING HORRIBLE Dickie Goodman songs.  They ripped this shit comedy apart and it was great.So I went to work.  After work, I turned the XM on and....son of a gun!  What luck!  The exact same point in the show!  Dickie Goodman again!  Oh how those songs sucked!  How did people think they were funny?So after some dinner I went to a rehearsal studio to keep my drum skills up, and when I left....oooooo man...THE SAME DICKIE GOODMAN BIT!!................................... So my point is, it REALLY ruined my day that I couldn't hear that replay AGAIN from 11-2!  DAMN YOU RON AND FEZ!!!!!  DAMN YOU FOR BREAKING IT UP!!!

So the next question: who has the latest Jenna Jamison Porn???? serious though, with all the arguing in this thread, has anyone proved a point or for that matter has anyone even have a clue as to what the point this thread is making?  Cause I don't, frankly I don't give two shit.  Basically Gentmen/women Ron and Fez are Great, if you don't like them change the channel, if you don't like XM go fuck your mom's box.  They're here to stay for the time being no matter what anyone says, if they leave it's because they recieved a better offer, but for now I'll continue to listen to them, all they're points and views, be it positive or negative, they're funny and keep me entertained from 11-2, infact I wouldn't mind an extra hour.     For a final thought,  if nobody liked them their wouldn't be a great discussion board like this now would their? ffg
