The chinese resturaunt keeps calling my house [Archive]

My Mom and I decided to have chinese food for dinner before she started
to bitch and whine about me taking my time to pick it up. After the
fight she decided not to get it. A good hour or so after that the
chinese place called the house. We dont answer the house phone because
my Mom uses it more as a business fax line than a home phone so we dont
answer. Not only have these people been calling from their resturaunt
but now Im getting calls from their home phone. How the hell do you
tell the place that you had an argument with someone and therefore you
wont be needing the food? Wonder if we're like banned from ordering
from there

You asked for a service, they provided it and you backed out.  You should have to pay for that food before you get to order more.It's like saying "Hey, build me a house" and when it's done not paying for it because you decided not to move out of your old place.  Not on the same scale, but the same idea.Was it a big order?  Either way, you're in the wrong.

These poor guys are just trying to make a living. They provide a service that lazy people, such as yourself, use. You call these people up and ask them to prepare a meal for you. They do so. Without any questions. Without asking for a deposit. The food is prepared, as ordered. It seems fair to me that this service deserves compensation.You left them, literally, holding the bag!You should consider yourself lucky they didn't leave a "Poo-Poo Platter" on your front steps!
