Would it be a bad idea to donate if within the past say 5 days or so one has smoked weed and maybe snorted a bit of cocaine? Would they find traces of it in the blood? And if not they clean it of all impurities before its given to the person needing it right?

I too would like to give blood but enjoy partaking in illegal smoking practices.  Some more info would help.

if it's life and death for the person getting the blood then it's better than nothing... that person will just have to deal with the munchies and some paranoia...

almost nazi-like in their strictness, i've seen them turn away
perfectly healthy people for nothing more than having gotten a tattoo a
week prior to donating, so you'd have to follow the guidelines closely.

Back in my days of heavy pot and coke use, I "donated" plasma twice a week. Never had a problem, other than the fact that I now have tracks on my arms. Those damn needles are the size of garden hoses!

Remember you also cannot donate if you are on or were on Acutane.All you pizza faces know what I am talking about.If a pregnant woman were to get your blood after you were on acutane, then that kid would come out with a head shaped like an open pair of scissors.
