The best credit card I've ever had has been the one I got through my old federal credit union (AFCU). Great rates and good services. Not too many bells and whistles, which is fine with me, as I have been screwed over by Citibank, Amex, Capital One and Chevy Chase Bank in the past. There are a lot of options out there, including some where the general public can join into.

Recommendation? Dont use it. Unless you like paying 24% interest rates on 20 grand.
I have an Amazon.com visa and it's great because you gather points for purchases and when you get enough they send you a $25 amazon gift certificate. I've gotten a bunch of them so far and it's like free money because I pay my balance off every month so they don't get dime one from me in interest.

I reccommend anything from First Premier Bank. You can get a great card where you deposit your own funds and then pay a 19% APR for the privilege of accessing them. You also get the added perks of monthly payments, annual fees, late payment penalties and the like.

It's just like a debit card, but with the added bonus of a painful ass-fucking every month.

I recently signed up for a Chase reward card. I use it for everything and pay the balance off when I receive my statement. I use to use Capital One but the rewards are not as good as Chase. Capital One only gives 1% back.

Chase Rewards

5% back
at grocery stores, gas stations and drug stores

1%
on all other purchases

off, he is looking into a business card. the rates are different from a
normal CC. Also, you only get 24% if your credit sucks. I have 3 CC,
had em all since i barely 21, and my interest rates are under 15%, and
that only matters if you dont send a payment, otherwise i dont get
charged that anyway.
