On my iPod, I have a cover song playlist, and would love to add more to it.   I'm a big fan of a good cover song, especally where the artist(s) singing the song are someone you wouldn't expect to sing the song (such as Epic singing Easy) or put a different twist or expression of the song (like Fountains of Wayne singing .. I hate to admit it, but I always really liked that version of "Smooth Criminal" that Alien Ant Farm did.  Very upbeat and catchy.  I mean it helps that I always liked the Bad album and own it, but that cover was good.

Dwight Yoakam did a great cover of Elvis' " Suspicious Minds " for the Honeymoon In Vegas soundtrack.I liked the Class Of 1999 cover of " Another Brick In The Wall " from the Faculty soundtrack but I think that was just because I was a huge Layne Staley fan and he hadnt done much prior/after that.I was never a big Chilli Peppers fan, prior to Californication which I loved, but I always liked their  " Higher Ground "I'll always remember Faith No More's version of " Easy Like Sunday Morning " because they clowned on it on Beavis & Butthead.I've never really like anything by Hole/Courtnet Love but she did a cool cover of " Golddust Woman " for one of the Crow soundtracks.For the most part I wind up liking covers of songs for which I didnt know or didnt like the original ( with the exception of Another Brick In The Wll ).
