When do you exchange gifts?

<p>I know somebody with kids who does it Christmas morning and &quot;Santa&quot; brings the tree and everything. Does anyone else do this? Seems like an awful lot of work to get accomplished Christmas Eve. I'm lucky if I can get the presents under the tree without waking everybody up!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>As a kid I used to do it Christmas morning, but since there are no more young children in my family, It's usually after dinner Christmas Eve. It's gonna be BAM, I crush his little skull and I sit down and smoke a cigar for another 55 seconds. The next kid comes in, BAM I put my cigar out on him. I laugh and point at the other kids "Who's next chubby?"

When I was a kid, it was always one present on Christmas Eve, and the rest of them Christmas morning. Now it's all of them in the morning (and throughout the day, as family members show up).

We do gifts on Christmas morning with the folks coming over to see their grand kids open the gifts.&nbsp; The first 2 years we had kids we did the &quot;Santa brings the tree&quot; thing but it was way too hard to get everything ready after the little ones had sugar plums dancing in their heads.&nbsp; So we dropped that.&nbsp; We kind of try on other people's traditions to see what might fit.
