I just received a Motorola Razr from my brother-in-law for Christmas, and I'm really frustrated by the standard ringtones for the phone. Does anyone know of a way of downloading sound clips (such as something from the Fezzie soundboard or the 24 CTU ring) or home-made ringtones to the phone? I know that there is a cord sold by Verizon that allows the phone to be hooked up to a laptop or desktop, but I'm not going to get that unless I can download my own clips or wallpaper.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Download the "Crazy Frog" ringtone. The Europeans went apeshit for that one.

Personally I'd rather hear Star Jones getting fucked with a axehandle before listening to it but that's just a matter of personal preference.

Isn't the Razr bluetooth? That should make downloads a snap!

Speaking of Star Jones, I saw this picture of her today and found it HILARIOUS !!!

Anyway, back to the matter at hand. Why do you need a special ringtone anyway? Anytime I hear one of those I want to punch the owner of the phone in the face. Unless its the 3 Stooges theme. Then I just laugh.

I'm listening to XM kids all them time with them and generally find it to be an excellent station for them. But that Crazy Frog song (or the Baha Men version of Who Let the Frog Out) makes me want drive into a shallow canal.

I really just want to download the CTU ringtone from 24 and the only way to do that is to do it myself (that I know of).

Although I'm tempted to have Fez's "Don't Forget My Balls" as a joke tone, never to be used, but played on the phone when I can't access the soundboard.

quote: Do yourself a favor and don't tune into XM Kids channel then.Well, my daughter is only 3 months old, so we won't have to worry about listening to that for a little while at least. I have been dreading having to listen/watch children's entertainment for some time.
Because I need my iPod to be my iPod, the baby only gets to listen to lullabies or Baby Einsteins on my wife's mini-iPod. That will likely change in the near future however.

It looks like the only cables that work is one that comes with a homemade CD. I'm not trustworthy enough to put a homemade CR-rom in my computer and install something that will affect my phone.
