Websites with no updates suck.

<p>Now I would never E-mail websites that provide free content and only ask that I think about buying some merchandice from them.&nbsp; That's fine.&nbsp; Only problem here is how long am I supposed to keep checking your site?</p><p>Best case in point?&nbsp; Maddox and his &quot;<a href="http://maddox.xmission.com/" target="_blank">Best Page in the Universe</a>.&quot;&nbsp; I love this site and he was updating at least every month awhile ago.&nbsp; But it hasn't been since early November that he posted anything or early December that he updated his Weekly Submissions from fans.&nbsp; THEY DO THE WORK FOR HIM!&nbsp; All he has to do is post it.</p><p>Another big disappointment: <a href="http://homestarrunner.com/" target="_blank">Homestarrunner.com</a>.&nbsp; I LOVE this website.&nbsp; When I'm bored I'll just go there and hit their &quot;random&quot; button which spits a random cartoon at me.&nbsp; Just about everything on that site, save the puppet shit, makes me laugh.&nbsp; But they haven't put anything new up in over a month now.&nbsp; What gives?&nbsp;&nbsp;I was REALLY looking forward to seeing their Holiday cartoon too.</p><p>As I said, I don't want to get pissy with websites that give out free content, but these sites get in a rhythm you can get used to.&nbsp; When activity drops off, it sucks.&nbsp; I'm about ready to pull both links out of my favorites and just check back in a few months.&nbsp; </p><p>Anyone else have a site that did this?</p>

<p><br />I have the same problem with Maddox, Homestar Runner just kinda stopped interesting me.</p><p>If this counts, it sucks that Rich &quot;Lowtax&quot; Kyanka barely writes updates for Something Awful anymore.&nbsp;</p>

<p>well if you read the maddox site the reason he isnt updating much is because he is trying to finish his book.&nbsp; It takes alot of time and energy to get things to publishers by a deadline.</p><p>&nbsp;Just like when Tucker Max was working on his book, his site was hardly ever updated.&nbsp; RP does even update Gorillamask himself anymore its all automated because he is working on a book and project with Tucker.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;</p>

Same on Homestarrunner, love that site. Wonder why they never cut a deal with cartoon network or something, the cartoons are clean wouldnt be a problem. They could be making a ton of money instead of just selling tshirts at conventions and off online store.
