Does anyone know anyone in the tri-state area that does inexpensive wedding photography? I am looking more for someone to take high-quality digital photos, and I will assemble albums and get prints myself. I really don't have 4-5k to drop on a photographer just so I can get a fancy album. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate the help. The posed pictures are what are important to me, as I have a few amateur photographers in my family that will take plenty of candid shots for me.

Thanks!

If you have a friend who's a photographer, PLEASE don't ask them. I've done a few weddings for friends, and the experience is always aweful. Being a friend, I always feel I should offer them more for less, and then they start expecting even more. Plus, the friend/photographer would usually prefer to enjoy the wedding.

couldn't really help. just wanted to add that we had the photgrapher and the album done and the video guy, way back in 86'. i don't believe the albums been open in 15 years but the video gets viewed maybe once every couple years. certain pictures you frame and hang and with regard to the video i couldn't say if it brings more joy or more sadness. joy because you had a great time and you get to see alot of your relatives and friends having a great time but sad because alot of them are no longer alive...
