<p>We have three right now, one is older (between 13-16 not sure on age, got
him from a shelter) arthritic, and going blind. We&rsquo;re not getting rid of him
because he's not expected to live much longer. so that leaves the other two, a
male and a female. the female got the short straw because she's not as good
with the baby as the male. also she sheds much more than the male and has worse
dandruff.</p>

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: "times new roman";">we're going down to one cat, eventually, because i'm
in the early stages of buying a house and moving. in the new house, which will
be a mother/daughter, my parents will be staying for a couple of months a year.
basically around the holidays. my mother has allergies, and also despises cats
on a personal level, one she can deal with. especially since the one that'll
stay is a runt who doesn't shed that much.</span>

My cat had lots of dandruff and shed a lot as well until I changed their food to a high quality food.&nbsp; It really cut down on all of that.&nbsp;

I would call some pet resuce orgs and see if you can get someone to foster the cat for adoption.&nbsp; Are you willing to keep the cat until you find it a home?&nbsp; Petfinder and craigslist can also work.
