Fez gave Elfish 10 points in the Redskins vs. Seahawks Playoff game. The game ended up being a push. On the air, Fez mentioned flippantly that it would come down to a foot race if it was a push but no terms were defined. What is the fair result.

Is it a certainty that Fez gave ten points? I thought I heard them say the line was 9.5 and 9.5 was the last official line.

If it was ten points and a push, I say Elfish wins last week's bet.

To define a little

a. Elfish wins everything. Fez flies the Cosmic Circus and Crazy Jen to NYC, limo ride, Sardi's, stay at Fez's apartment. Also, Fez and East Side Dave get their heads shaved and painted blue.

b. Elfish wins the results of his last bet - This was a triple or nothinbg bet, and no one won, so it goes back to Elfish's win last week. In other words, Fez pays for train tickets to NYC for Elfish and Cigar Sid. Elfish and Sid stay at his apartment. Fez and East Side Dave get their heads shaved.

c. No one wins. Everyone walks away with nothing. This is also the same as "Fez wins", because this is what Fez would have gotten if the Seahawks won by more than 10

d. footrace between Elfish and Fez. Fez and Elfish (two heart patients) would race against each other to determine the winner.

e. Fez races against the Cosmic Circus. Fez races against any member of the Cosmic Circus (or Crazy Jen) to determine the winner. Note -- Crazy Jen beat Fez handily in the Tim Harmon 10K last year

f. Everybody gives Ron $2. Self-explanatory.

I gotta recheck the show but didn't Ronnie ask what happens if the game ends in a push? He seemed kinda pissed that 5 weeks of betting would amount to nothing.

I'm going with the footrace option. Neither one is in top physical shape. Unbiased observers in each locale can measure the time it takes each participant to run an agreed-upon distance. Failure to arrive at such an agreement should, in my opinion, move the bet to next week's game with Fez taking the side of the Seahawks and Elfish of the Carolina/Chicago winner. This match would be straight-up with no point spread.
It's the least he deserves for putting up with all of this aggrivation for the past month.

If it reverts to last week's bet (which it should) they did include Perry and Cigar Sid/Fat Baby on the train ride. No limo or anything, but train ride and a night at Fez's. They did discuss a foot race, but it was obviously a joke. Fez can't participate in a race at this stage in his recovery.

Personally, all I wanted out of this whole thing was to get the guys into the studio. It would be a hell of a lot of fun to have Elfish, Perry, and Fat Baby in studio once again. It would be nice if they included Crazy Jen, too!

Jen beat Fez at the 5K race two years in a row, but everyone else he should do well against - personally, I think they just go back to the bet from two weeks ago, with a couple of considerations - Fez shaves the head, he pays for Elfish (and maybe Sid & Perry up, by Greyhound) to come up for the day - they sit in on the show, hang out afterwards, and then return to DC. Done!

Fez offered a tie breaker to race any of the Cosmic Circus. This wasn't well thought but was still offered. This all but insures victory for Elfish for the entire prize because of Fez's health. But wait, Elfish says on the Cosmic Circus wants no part of any tie breaker and says some nonsense about being the house. He's angry at Ron and Fez now and hasn't even talked to them. I have no sympathy for that guy anymore. The extra 1/2 point and the push were gifts from heaven and he takes a big dump on them.

I don't understand what the push means. The last bet was Fez taking the Seahawks to win. Dont they always talk about "Gentleman Bet"? I just finished listening to Elfish on the Cosmic Circus & he says he won. Didn't Fez win since his team won? I confused......
So effectively the Skins started the game up 10 points. This was NOT a gentleman's bet as both sides agreed that the Seahawks were the clear favorite. A push in betting circles means a tie, which often means that the bet is void. So technically it looks like the bet should revert to the outcome of the first double or nothing bet.

Washinton and KC). Picking NFL games without a spread isn't all that hard. Just look at our R/F pick'em league. Most players involved averaged 6 out of every 10 games right, with the top teams picking over 70% of the games correctly.

Actually, a caller suggested 10 points and Fez agreed even though the line was 9 at the time as Fez pointed out. If the caller had a sports page in front of him he probably would have suggested 9 and we wouldn't have this contreversy. Which makes Elfish flying off the handle right now silly because he's lucky to still be in this.

I vote for a footrace. That way Fez can have another heart attack and we can have our beloved Soundboard Fezzy back!

By
the way, if you parlay a bet with a bookie and one of the bets is a
push and the rest win, the push bet gets thrown out and the result paid
is the value of all other wins without the push bet. This bet is
basically a 3 week parlay. Hope that makes sense.
