<h1 class="Headline">Wilson Blvd. To Become 'Saigon Blvd.' In Falls Church </h1><p>&nbsp;</p><div class="posted">POSTED: 2:48 pm EST January 20, 2006</div><div class="updated">UPDATED: 3:15 pm EST January 20, 2006</div><p>&nbsp;</p><div class="StoryBody"><!--startindex--><strong class="Dateline">FALLS CHURCH, Va. -- </strong>If you've ever driven along the stretch of Wilson Boulevard in the City of Falls Church, you've likely noticed a big shopping center where almost every store is Vietnamese. So now, the street out front is going to get a name that fits. <p>&nbsp;</p>Signs will be going up letting everyone know the road is being called &quot;Saigon Boulevard.&quot; The Falls Church City Council made the change after being asked to by local Vietnamese business owners. People from Vietnam are one of the city's largest minority groups. <p>&nbsp;</p>The change takes effect next weekend, but don't worry about getting lost. It'll continue to also be know as Wilson Boulevard. The suburbs in DC (at least in VA) have turned into the 3rd world.&nbsp; Arlington has turned into South America, Falls Church is entirely Vietnamese, Annandale is run by the Korean mafia.&nbsp; This area has changed so much since I moved her in 78.

Northern Virginia roads always change names when they run through Falls Church, but they usually changed over into the old 1700s names. As I said in another thread, Arlington has one of the more diverse and integrated demographics in the country - Vietnamese, Salvadorean and Ethiopian are huge around here. My building is like the U.N. Makes for some great neighbors - and some excellent restaurants in the area.&nbsp;
