But ok..as long as i'm here...Now that you mention it, I dont have them on my Ipod, but I think I should rectify that soon.AM radio, Father of mine, New life, and Wonderful....are great songs.Pop group for sure, but worth a try if u havent heard em.

That's another part. Father of Mine.I liked Everclear always, I loved Santa Monica. But I relate so well to father of mine, thats another reason I like them. Wonderful is another song, any kid who had family troubles relates well.

I never liked any of it.  I never had any family or drug problems, so the lyrics didn't speak to me.  Also, I found the music to be nothing special.

thats a good point Dave. The music isnt anything special, its alot like old green day. Catchy, and well put together, but easy and sometimes generic, the words are what would tend to make people like this band. What i always wondered was why people dont like them. Anyone ive talked to who doesnt like them HATES them. I dont get it, even if i didnt like it, its not like that shit is horrible and killing music bad, like boy bands shit

In my opinion I would rate Everclear as a consistanly over par band.  They're not my favorite, but they've never really pissed me off. . . . and about the whole drug thing, I remember an old anti-drug commercial where the lead singer is preaching the horrors of drugs and all I could think was, you started your career doing drugs, and now you're famous  What are you trying to tell me, 'don't do drugs, or you might become a famous rock star who can spend a ton of money on rehab, then swin in your load of money like Scrooge McDuck'?

Actually I have to disagree with that. Theyre one of the few bands Ive seen one night after another and kept it fresh. First night I saw them was at Roseland and they just flat out rocked out. Second night I saw them they rearranged their set list, and did more songs accoustically. This was way back in the mid-90's so I don't know how theyre doing shit nowadays.Ive seen Alanis Morrisette twice in a row (yeah I know gay but I had a friend who worked security at Roseland/Irving Plaza and he always got me and a few friends into free shows) and she did song for song the same way, and even said the same shit to the crowd word for word during the breaks between songs. AWFUL!

I had the chance to see them at the 9:30 club back when Taylor Hawkins (now foo fighter drummer) was her drummer and it was a great rock show.  I haven't seen her since she "hit" - but I really haven't like anything she's done since. That "Jagged Little Pill" album is a great pop/rock album. ( it just got over played)  As for Everclear? I wouldn't pay to see or hear them. But they have some good songs for radio I guess. I throw them in that nickleback/ matchbox 20 genre.

I really like this band, always have... two of my favorite songs are "Santa Monica" and "Everything to Everyone" Anytime I hear their songs, I usually just bust out singing along to 'em, and I'm not ashamed to do so.

I love pop music so, I really do like their songs. It's his VOICE that I can't stand.  He really can't cut it live.Like I said...the records are good though.

I actually have to somewhat agree on the live voice thing. I have a version of wonderful from leno, a one time live performance, the type you'd expect everything to be top notch, and his voice strains a little. It definately takes away from the live performance, but alot of singers are like that. Shit GnR never did a second show that sounded good, when they actually showed up for the second show.  Since 90% of the time you hear a band its album stuff, i meant it more based on that.
