Oprah apologized for leaving the impression that "truth didn't matter".  Isn't that exactly what Ron did, and continues to do regarding "A Million Little Pieces"?

I think that's his opinion only to a small degree when it comes to writing a story that one reads for entertainment.  If it was enjoyable, it doesn't both him so much for the same reasons that inflated stories by Hunter S. Thompson don't bother him either because he enjoys the book. His primary opinion is that we get told bigger, more important lies all the time by numerous people and out of all of them, this lie about a book is creating so much publicity.  And it's not like he was telling lies about other people that slandered them.  He embellished to make himself look better.  It didn't hurt anyone. Of course, that's my opinion as to what Ron's opinion is.

I don't know about all that MojoPin, that's just a big lamp - that's all I'm sayin'.EliSnow - good points, I think I probably have a built in bias against these junkie stories - that's more my hangup than anything else. e
