It's gonna be BAM, I crush his little skull and I sit down and smoke a cigar for another 55 seconds. The next kid comes in, BAM I put my cigar out on him. I laugh and point at the other kids "Who's next chubby?"

You tip everyone. It goes a long way, think you have to work a waiter/delivery/stripper job to appreciate that. I hook up my local delivery guys (foodwise) and I get free sodas, "hey we had this pizza a guy called in and didnt pick up" free, its just good karma man. You consistently dont tip your delivery guy, I've heard stories of what they do to food...

Im wondering if I fucked up, so maybe someone can guide me. My wife cracked her tooth in half this morning and I had to scramble to get her to a dentist. At first, our regular dentist receptionest was doing the while "We are booked for a few weeks" busllshit, so I was looking around for a new dentist that could handle the emergency. The best I could find was a guy who could see her tomorrow. So I called back our regular dentist and explained the situation again and that I was going to look for a new dentist and they suddenly had an opening! So, I took off work and rushed there and they saw her right away. My question is: Would you tip them?

If you tried, chances are they wouldn't take it. There are some jobs that require impartiality, and tips make that suspect.

Thanks, I had a feeling, but also felt they deserved something.

My question is: Would you tip them?

nope, not a dentist or dental assistant....Especially when they didn't take your emergency on the first attempt. people waiting at dentists and doctor's offices can usually understand they may have to wait a little longer so people with real emergencies can be tended to

Look at the bill. Then tell me if they deserve more.
You should always tip the copy girl a few bucks. I've noticed when you go back, they are more attentive and actually do a competent job, just because they know you are going to help pay for their lunch.

I stiffed a waitress on a tip for the first time in my life last week. If the service sucks, I'll still usually leave something, but this pissed me off...

I went to a diner for a late lunch between appointments and to get some work done on my computer while I was eating. The diner wasn't busy, but it wasn't empty either. There were at least 6 other tables occupied when I came in. I got my food quickly, but then in less than 10 minutes, the waitress stopped by my table no less than 6 times not to ask if I needed anything, but if I were finished, and the busboy grabbed my plate at least three times, twice with my fork in hand, asking if I were done. At one point, the waitress took an order from a new table, stopped by mine to ask if I were done, went to the kitchen to put the order in and came back to my table to again ask if I were done. Mind you, at no time was my plate less than half full. Finally, I also noticed that she wasn't doing the same to the tables around me that already had their food when I sat down. So I sucked down the remainder of my lunch, paid at the register and left.

Total time from getting out of my car to getting back in: 25 minutes.

Even if the service is lousy, I'll tip. The way I see it, if you are not making food for yourself, you are taking a chance and giving up any preconceived notion that you will have exactly what you want when you have someone else prepare and deliver your food.

I will not tip those jars in Dunkin Donuts, Subways, Starbucks... etc. I think that is just a bullshit recent trend, at least the last 10 years.

I will also not tip the guys who come in and hook up the cable. Isn't that their job? They are in the instillation line of work. Would you tip a electrician? A plumber? A construction worker? Thanks for putting in that 5th floor beam. Here's $20.

i leave heavy tips on my tattoo artist...i've sat for 8 hours, spent 700 then tipped him 100. but he owns the place...he seemed kind of stunned at the tip, but everytime i want some custom work done i dont have to wait long. the first piece i got done took about 3 months to draw up, now he can get it done in a week.

i have a question

why do we tip waiters/waitresses more then we do delivery guys ??

standard 15-20 % is the norm for tipping at resturants but most people ususally only give 2-3 bucks to the pizza or chinese delivery guy

it seems like it should be the other way around no ???

the delivery guy is driving from the place of your order all the way to your house while the waiter/waitress is just walking back from the kitchen i know we're spending more time in a resturant and they constantly keep checking up on you and serving you but if nothing else shouldnt it be even ???

I tip everybody; waiters, waitresses, delivery guys (even the UPS guy), and even the guy that pumps my gas. Hell, I just threw the girls at the bakery a tip for working so hard on Easter Sunday. I always think to myself "what is it worth to me to have someone serve me my food, bring me something I'm too lazy to pick up, or perform some service I'd rather not do?" Then I tip them based on that.
if the service is bad I under tip. But a night out like last night, where I didnt need to wait for my next beer, or the next beer came as the last of the current beer was going down I over tip. At times i have walked over to waitresses handed them the $$$ and told them they did a great job. this way when i go back i am sure to get the same level of service.

the food delivery guys know me know, and they know what a good tip they are getting where they come here so I too get free diet cokes with my pizza, free meso soup with my sushi and free egg roll with my chincky food.

Tipping makes the world go round smoother.
