Actually I can narrow my hatred down to the most annoying adds.Any porn ads that have a girl putting on that fake wanna be sexy voice.  The one where she moans "Yes, yes, yes" in the middle is the absolute worst thing ever.  I mean we all know they're acting but I can't remember ever hearing a girl do a sexy voice on the radio or in porn that convinced me they were actually all hot and bothered.

Yes, the "Small Business Advocate” spot is so irritating. I finally saw the spot on TV and it looked like it was filmed in a college TV studio.     I hate them all because they are played over and over again on the same channels.

current most hated ad: the one titled More Channels, giving a rundown of new channels coming to xm.  every short song clip they play sounds like shit and makes me less interested in knowing about the new channels.  radio advertisement needs a fucking revolution.  there's tv commercials that are actually entertaining or funny or just plain cool to watch, but i can't say a single one of those things about any radio ad ive ever heard

I don't have an issue with them using commercials because I understand the concept is for them to make money. There's no way that any service would be able to possibly exist and be succesful without some degree of advertisers bringing in revenue.Of late, I hate the Andreas Cantor World Cup Soccer commercials. I also hate the mysexystore commercials, the one with the awrful Australian accent voice guy who talks about women on dvd who lick mores tacos than you can shake a stick at, or the "tell them about the discont Harry!!!" commercial.The other ones that annoy me at the incesstant 60/20 sports commercials that have to play the same stupid Rudy being the best sports movie of all time. Or the same Cal Ripkin telling the same boring fucking story about how his dad considered his uniform his "work clothes". ENOUGH!Also, it would be a good idea if the commercials for shows on the XM Comedy channels with interviews with Sonny Fox actually featured funny jokes to entice people to wanna check it out.

not that this ones xm, but...bite me.  the current worst commercial in all of radio waaaaay outdoes anything i hear on xm.  its the one tanya roberts does here in dc on r&fs old station, 106.7.  it doesnt help that they play it every other break, but ive never heard someone try to sell something that literally conjures up violent images in my head.  i actually just wrote them an email about it, knowing full well it does nothing, but it helped heal the anger a little

I first ran into this idiocy in a local TV commercial for an auto repair joint.  I think right now on 202 its the small business advocate twit or maybe it's the megabyte minute twit... LOOK for us on the radio. Although I didn't hate this right away, now I really hate the "60/20" commericals for a couple of reasons.  First, I can't believe there is a guy out there, no matter the age, that believes that Rudy is the greatest sports movie of all time.   Second, even if there is a guy who believes it, would you promote a show where the main co-host makes such a ridiculous statement.  I know I wouldn't listen to that guy.Third, and most importantly, THEY'VE OVER-PLAYED IT TOO MUCH!  Isn't it time for a new commerical for the show?

Pretty much all of the commercials are annoying but the thing that makes them almost unbearable is the repetition. Every time there is a break in either O&A or R&F, we hear the same commercials, sometimes two times in the same break

They make it sound like a news cast or an important piece of info when it's just some group trying to disguise their political views as valid. They should have a disclaimer on that garbage. OK, I'm bumping this because I have a question and didn't want to get slammed for creating an unnecessary thread, even though this thread is not an exact match.Why do they play commercials on 202 during the replays, especially during the 15 hours a day of O&A? I understand during the shows because the guys need a break and XM needs some add revenue, but why during replays?  My biggest frustration is that most of the "adds" are for other XM channels or shows so there is no revenue involved - why do we have to hear 5-10 minutes of crap about other channels?As I said, I understand selling adds for revenue, but why put us through extended breaks of XM propaganda?  Do any of you fine buddays have insight?

Do any of you fine buddays have insight?  I think the main reason for leaving in the Commerical breaks, but making them shorter is for recording purposes as welll as giving listeners a chance to take a break (ie potty break)  after all it is like a four and half hour show slimmed down.  That and it fits with continuity of the show, when they say we'll be back after these messages you get to hear a commercial or two.

The commercials we hear on the replays are pretty much the same amount of commercials we heard before the Free-FM deal.  I'm guessing that the ad rates that XM sells include the replays in there. Also, the promos can be used to "pad" everything.  Each replay, no matter how long the original live show is, is 4 1/2 hours.   At the end of the live show, they probably have a skimmer/logger/whatever that indicates how much "show" there is and how much it needs to be padded (or how much they are over, in the case of bonus show).  Sometimes segments are edited out of the show, sometimes they aren't.

Mandatory Metallica. I think it's great that XM is really setting itself apart from FM radio. Coldplay has all the personality of a corpse.

That's funny. That is the first commercial I thought of when I saw the title. I sing all the parts though, not just the 'ring,ring'... can't help it.. must be some kind of subliminal coding...
