Love him or hate him, he's back. First show of the season. Comedian Eddie Griffen is on the panel making a complete ass of himself.

That was the worst panel ever. Griffin was completely retarded and Helen Thomas added nothing but multiple screeching halts and was excruciating to look at.
Bill Mahrs audience is having a revolt live on tv right now. Two people have been thrown out. I think they are yelling about 9/11. Yea they are talking about building 7.

Bill Maher on HBO now. They just threw two audience members out....and counting

What did the audience members do?

scottinnj

Maher's audience has always kind of radical. They booed him last season when he challenged Mos Def (I think it was him) on the 9/11 conspiracy.

i think bill mentioned sumthing that the protesters outside said Bush planned 9/11 and that since bill disagrees w/ that theory, that he is a bush supporter.

tele7

What did the audience members do?

Ranting and raving about something. One after another. It was during talk about evolution. Bill asked for security and went into the audience himself.

guess I'm wrong. It all happened so fast.

I cancelled HBO after the Sopranos ended its series. Wish I had kept it. I miss Entourage and Bill-even as a conservative, I liked the show.

Oh well, how fast can you get the video up on YouTube?

MikeB

I couldnt tell what they were yelling about until he yelled building 7 and Bill figured it out also at that time.

When will people realize that a giant chunk of one of the towars hit building seven.

i wouldnt go that far. it was def. bad ass of him to go into the audience, but outside of that there was nothing historical about it.

I'm not a big fan of Bill Mahar but I can't say I blame him for being pissed. That has to be one of the worst jobs of security I've ever seen. The original guy screamed out like four separate times and it was only when Bill got up to go into the audience that security seemed to move in. Then they took the guy out but left the woman who had also said something and surprise, surprise - she screams something out later. Then another guy has a chance to scream out two times.

Really fucking ridiculous. I blame this on the whole laid back California work ethic. I experenced it firsthand when I was there from hotel workers to waiters to cab drivers. I guess it also includes security people.

When else has a talked show host curse at his employeys and went at his audienced shoving them out the door.
I can't think of another time anything like this has happened on live tv.
I wonder what this crazy websites are going to say about this. Will they think Bill Maher is now a part of the establishment?

Bill Maher is one of my all time favorite people. He tells shit the way it is. He is left on a lot of things but he also shits on the left when needed. He doesnt hold back. He is one of the few famous people I would like to meet. I would love to meet and pick his brain!

Damn it, I missed it, I usually wait for it to show up on On Demand but I think I love the show more than Daily/Colbert. At the very least he seems more intelligent than Stewart/Colbert. He had a pretty good "New Rule" on the idiocy of 9/11 Conspiracies a few weeks ago. I really wonder what happened now.

It reairs on HBO2E at 9 EST and HBO2W at 12 noon EST.

I agree with a lot of his political views, but I'm not particularly crazy about him as a TV host. He loves to pull this trick to where whenever a guest he disagrees with makes a really good point, he'll crack a joke to make the audience laugh and pull attention away from what the person just said, rather than arguing the point. He's also got kind of a smirky, arrogant delivery that irks me a little, but I like the guy in small doses. I did find myself watching his show fairly often back when I had HBO.

To speak to your point Scott, I think one of the reasons that people like Maher is he favors ideology & ideas over partisan hackery. He'll remind us when the Democrats are sucking & tell you when he sides with the Republicans.

You have to respect that type of honesty.

Damn straight. I've always liked his show. Even when he was on ABC-that was a shit move to take him off the air and nobody seemed to care how out of context everybody took his statement of "courage" and drove him from the town square. HBO is perfect for him.

Bravo for saying something to the effect of you're in the fucking Audience to listen, not participate.

Ronnie B would make a great member on his panel one week. He would kill for Bill as he can be both insightful and funny on every topic. It would be a great promotion for the XM show. I think for the most part Maher's audience would "get" the Ron and Fez show.

No shit. It amazes me how much shit Edwards gets yet this shit never gets brought up about Newt. The man is exactly what is wrong with society and mainly the right. "Do as I say not as I do"! They love to tell others how to live but never live that way. I personally dont care about his personal life except because he trashes every one else and what they do. Stick to policies stick to budget talks and stick to how to make this a better country for all people.

For all the shit Obama has gotten (and a lot of his broken promises) I still cant see how he can lose. The repubs dont have 1 person who could beat him. The only person who even looks remotely viable is Christie and I cant see him running!

Eliot Spitzer is so intelligent and seems to be the only person out there that has answers. BUT he paid for blow jobs so he will never be allowed to work in govt again. Doesnt it amaze people how we treat people who like sex, pay for sex or get caught with hookers like they are the most vial people in the world yet people like Bush and Cheney who created laws to steal from the poor, allow sickness and murdered millions in the name of greed they are ok?!
