View Full Version : My 1st R&F Exposure...

Hey, folks, new-guy here. I found this site searching for
Scott Ferrall after hearing he was back on the radio (hadn't heard of
him since "On the Bench"). I've heard Ron&Fez mentioned on
the OnA and Don&Mike shows, but knew nothing of them.

Now I read Ferrall's gone after a 1-week trial? True??

I
usually will get the 'feel' of a msg board before posting, but after
hearing some mp3 clips of R&F, I must post... They're
fucking hilarious!. Heard a few 'basic' bits that were kinda
funny, then I found the clip of the Ron&Fez Bookclub which reviewed
Star Jones' "Shine". Laughed my friggin' head off!

Why did not R&F get the call to FreeFm instead of DLR? No-brainer...

.

Ron and Fez are the best radio show on the planet, period. I love O&A but Ron and Fez is by far my favorite.

I'd suggest getting XM online at least to listen to them live. Their show has NEVER been funnier.

No idea why they weren't asked to to mornings on Free FM but I'm glad they're not there. All the FCC limitations are fucking gay. Plus XM give them the opportunity for a National audience and now Canada as well. You get what you pay for, and with Free FM, you get a free pile of audio feces.

As for the Ferrall thing, I remember them saying he only had a week try out from the beginning, so his show not being on the website anymore may not mean he's gone, but my guess is it probably does. He's a fucking self destructive, boring ass who got completely owned by the Pests.

Also, stop listening to Don and Mike.

That is all, welcome aboard. Viva La Ron y Fez.

Before Ferral was on Sirius, Taz and Cole were given a trial run. Stern's just getting a feel for what his audience wants. They may be back, who knows. Afterall, it was just a trial run, he wasn't fired and neither were Taz and Cole.
And yes, Ron and Fez are the best thing going today, whooooooo!

Taz and Cole, as in, Tazz and Michael Cole? Are your serious?

You have 3 radio stations you need programming for and your best bet was Bubba the Love Sponge. 2 of the best radio shows out there are with XM and everyone in the business seems to have a good contract with terrestrial stations.

I'd be scraping the bottom of the barrel too.

well, welcome to the board.
i suggest you continue to check out r&f, they're the best comedy team in radio today.
I think R&F were just done with commercial radio, that's why DLR got the call.

Thanks for the welcomes :)

Regarding the Don/Mike
train-wreck show.. I recall years ago Stern saying that about
half of his audience listened 'cause they hated him; that's why I
listen to D&M (also, there's nothing else on at that time,
since quitting listening to music radio more than 10-years ago).
I guess I listen so i can hear Don fuck up so I can gloat (he never
leaves me lacking ;)).

I guess I'll have to get XM/Sirrius.

Wonder who'll replace DLR? I'm a huge fan of CVH, but this can't possibly last!

Hey,PFA,welcome to the Scott Ferrell fan club.I feel for ya,since I'm in Delaware and radio does suck locally,so I don't bother. If I'm working on a Painting gig I'll suffer thru D&M just to get by. I'm just so glad they didn't get a Gold Ticket to XM.I enjoy some guys on their show and some bits, and you know they have good guys working for them so I can never have the satisfaction of hating them.Don's loss of his wife was awful...tragedy.She was one in a BILLION.

We don't want to push XM down your throat pfa, but if you enjoy them, they're really doing a great job on XM. They're on channel 202 with O&A who are very funny in a different way.

I really suggest the online sub which is like 7 or 8 bucks a month. Try it out for a month and I guarentee you'll want to get a receiver for the car or a portable to take everywhere. Ron and Fez are that good.

To be honest I don't care about the music stations that much but you may. And there's a mess of other special content on there, but who gives a shit about that.

Ron and Fez are great.

But the crew. Can Earl ever step up and be what they want him to be. No. Bring Eastside as third mic full time.

Bobby fucks up at OandA, the champ. Ha. Game over, you lose champ.

An easy way to tell how much R&F exposure you are getting is to look for your shadow:
If your shadow is taller than you are (in the early morning and late afternoon), your R&F exposure is likely to be low.

If your shadow is shorter than you are (around midday), you are being exposed to high levels of R&F. Welcome! Maybe the only thing fans of Stern, O&A, D&M, Ferrall, Monsters of the Midday, Bob Edwards, Bubba the Love Sponge and The Hideout can all agree on is how much Ron and Fez rule. As someone who was reluctant to "pay for radio," I firmly believe that if you have to pick one service over another, then it's no contest - R&F are more than enough reason to get XM over Sirius, plus you'll dig the music - a selection second only to Mikeboy's iPod.
