Thanks Marc, that bit is getting old,but seems important for the old fans.To me it just breaks up the flow of the calls, like the annoying 15 seconds of the caller realizing he "got thru" and gets flustered and stumbles his/her speech.Likewise Stern was also pissed and bumbling callers.Don & Mike would announce they'd hang up on any caller who started out with "How Ya doing?" which is a hard habit for many to break. I'm glad the bit was explained, and view secrets against the Newbie listeners pretty childish like girls in a circle tittering on a playground, excluding the new girl from their games. I'm a champion for Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer who lights the way for Satan's slay.

This kinda makes me sad.

I've been a R&F listener since they came to XM, and a lurker on RF.net as well. As I listened to the show and got a feel for things, I understood (I thought) of BAC. I feel bad that people get their balls busted just for asking for an explanation. Especially for a bit that was from the old show. Some of us (Akron OH here) didn't have the ability to listen to R&F when they were at WNEW and WJFK, so we're just catching on.

As a matter of fact, I spent about an hour searching the net to figure out what a 'comedy pyramid' was just so I wouldn't post on here and get my balls busted. Now, I'm probably about to get them busted anyway.

This is my first post.

miss being a lurker.

Glad you asked. It's one of the everlasting bits because it's all up to the callers whether it flies or crashes and burns. It's like a running joke that people make up their own punchline along a certain comedy set-up line. For example,"fez's ass was so fat when he was a kid....(fill in the blank)...so people call in with their punchlines and after about 10 or 20 calls hopefully someone will TOP the others by giving the funniest line and be the "winner"...maybe a goofy prize...maybe not.The callers sometimes BLOW IT terribly and ron will piss an moan about how LOUSY they are and say he can't continue the bit...YOU RUNED it.
