Howdy, HK. I've noticed in a few of your posts that you have had chronic back pain in your life, and have had to endure several surgeries. I was just curious as to the nature of your pain (ie injury related?), the surgeries you have undergone, and how you are feeling these days.

GVAC - Thanks for asking.

I try not to focus on it but I'm in constant pain from my back. Following an injury I spent 2 YEARS bedbound. Had a home attendant and all that fun stuff. After the first 3 surgeries I was able to make it into a wheelchair. After the 4th I went to a quad cane, and now I'm just on a regular cane. For very long distances I still use a wheelchair but I hate doing so. The 5th surgery was a complete failure because of complications. I still have great difficulty sitting for long periods and ambulating in general.

I won't bore you with the medical details. Suffice it to say that my back is fucked up.

On the bright side, I know a great deal more about pain meds than I did previously. Morphine? They're like Flinstones chewables! LOL

I had absolutely no idea it was that serious. I am terribly sorry, King. Hopefully there is an as yet undiscovered procedure that may end your suffering once and for all.

I appreciate your openness and honesty, and I sincerely hope I didn't pry too much.
