Government officials enforcing moral opinions in public buildings. Scary stuff.

This isn't a big deal at all. These two felt like being assholes and abusing their nonexistant power, the librarian didn't let them, a cop comes and sends them away, they get reassigned, Homeland Security apologizes, story over.

These guys obviously aren't as sexually liberal as the cops in Spotsylvania County, VA.

Spotsylvania County authorities say letting undercover officers receive sexual services at massage parlors is the surest way to prove an establishment's owner knows exactly how employees are satisfying clients.

Neely said Virginia law is part of the reason that officers were instructed to let the sex acts proceed. The acts had to move beyond fondling, he said, because masturbation for money is not a crime in Virginia.

He also said authorities wanted to obtain evidence for a felony sex crime, rather than a misdemeanor prostitution charge based on a verbal agreement, as they seek to shut down what they call sophisticated money-laundering operations. More than a verbal agreement was needed, he said, because some of employees speak little or no English.

Detectives visited the Moon Spa parlor three times in January and spent more than $800 on massages and sex services. Authorities say the money came from earlier drug-related cases. Five people were arrested in the case, including one employee who was charged with sodomy.

Spotsylvania authorities are defending their tactics.

"You do what you have to do to suppress the criminality," said Spotsylvania Commonwealth's Attorney William F. Neely, whose office authorized the sex acts as part of the investigation.

i hate douchebags like this. not because of what they did, they're two shitkicking rednecks who should be ignored. i hate people throwing around "Homeland Security" like it's meant to impress or intimidate. hese guys are with a state agency, not DHS. I'm with DHS. these two make us look bad.

This is really no different than your local cops doing whatever the fuck they want. Treating their buddies differently than the average Joe. I'm just glad these 2 fucks got caught for once.

I dunno, I don't really see this as two lone guns enforcing thier personal agenda. I see two government agents, probably on secret order, to enter public facilities and harass citizens about material deemed legal to view in this country.

Maybe I'm reading into it...but that's how these things work. Subtle change...intimidation...small towns with small press...luckily this story got picked up...

I imagine these small, seemingly isolated but generally related incidents are happening all over the country with the officer's commanders issuing embarassing apologies when the media picks up on it.

In a country where terrorism is considered a primary threat which could happen on a large scale any day now, the money & time spent on prosecuting pornographers and porn consumers is really quite staggering.
