The kind of place you can go to dance to 80s music with industrial and that sort of thing mixed in. If anyone has ever been to QXTs in Newark, that is what I am looking for except in NYC.

Can anyone recommend a place to go this Friday or Saturday?

Culture Club is an all 80's club. I haven't been there yet, but I've been to Polyester's (the 70's version) and I love it.

Martini Red's in Staten Island. It's not full out anything really
but they played alot of new wave and other 80's music the last time i
was there(along the lines of Human League, New Order, Smiths, Depeche
Mode). I think i even caught some Joy Division in there somewhere too.

Place has flaws though, lots of underagers/hipsters. Usually
packed but the back lounge area is ok and that about sums that up.

That place is also packed w/ wanna be pretentious hipsters.

My sister goes to these clubs and her bf spins. Pyramid has an 80s night and a goth night (they have GAY 80's NIGHT ON FRIDAYS WHICH IS THE BEST THING EVER), batcave, and now she also goes to some club in Newark (XRT or something?). Remote Lounge does a gothy night now as well, I think on Fridays or Saturdays

A lot of negativity in this thread.

80's Industrial isn't exactly my thing so I'll be zero help to you, but I am intersted in hearing a few bands from the genre of music you're talking about. Any names?

That sort of mixture.

Do you know Covenant?

Some bands to get started with are Ministry and KMFDM. After that, check out bands that were on TVT/Wax Trax (the Black Box is a good starter set)
