I hope that Michael guy who keeps calling up to complain to ESD listens to some replays. He accuses ESD of repeating the same bit over and over. The guy does this "over and over". He sounds like more of a broken record than what he's accusing Dave of being.

I've got this great schedule where I get to hear bits and pieces throughout the show but rarely get to hear more than 20 minutes straight, so I don't know what went on between 12:30 and 1:30.Ron is an atypical interviewer in the sense that he won't ask the trite questions "What was your inspiration... blah, blah...", so his interview shows are usually pretty good radio.  I think he just talks to them like people, so they relax and have a really honest, occasionally insightful discussion.I listened to Ron and the CSA guy have a pretty interesting conversation about the movie, slavery, the mob, and all sorts of "cultural issues." I was cringing everytime he went to the phones, waiting for someone to f*k it up with the n-word or something, which IS NOT FUNNY 99% of the time (not 100%, because a good joke is a good joke).  And then I had to go to class...Obviously something happened to piss off Ron, but I couldn't tell exactly what it was.  Would someone mind re-capping what went down? I could care less what happened to Fez.

I think the phones must just kill any momentum that the show gets..  For the first time since I have been listening, I think ESD and Earl said more than Fez did.  Wtf is up with Earl and not answering Ron? He knows its a radio show right <img src="http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/tongue.gif" border="0" />...They all seemed uncharactaristically agitated today.

Listening to the replay tonight, something really bugged me about that CSA movie guy. He said he couldn't think of any instances in which a country won a war, and gave the land back. Has he never heard of WWI and WWII? Did we keep Germany, Japan, Italy, etc? What the hell was he thinking?

It just depends upon what you mean by giving land back or keeping it.After WWI, France took back Alsace Lorraine, and Poland got parts of Prussia.  Germany surrendered before being occupied, but they were still hamstrung in many ways as to what they could do with their land.  Austria-Hungary also lost vast amounts of land that became countries in Eastern Europe, and Great Britain obtained territories in many Mid-East areas previously considered to be parts of Austria-Hungary (including, I believe, Palestine).  Actually, when you think of it, post-WWI may have featured some of the greatest land grabs after a war ever.  After WWII, the Soviets occupied East Germany with the rest of Eastern Europe.  The Western Allies occupied West Germany, Austria, and Japan.  I think the U.S. also got some territories/islands from Japan.  Yes, in the long run, we didn't "keep" those areas, but it's not like we gave them everything back right away.
