I know that this is more of a local NYC story but I did see it make CNN and Fox news, The way she was tortured and sodomized was so horrible. A bouncer on Parole is being questioned during this investigation

http://1010wins.com/pages/12482.php

A $42,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

makes you think the family is using their last dollar to hopefully get justice. this is the 'possible' devastation almost every parent faces, any parent that truly loves their child...

Maybe Funk, but the city usually has a standard reward (10k?) and since she was from BC and John Jay I'll guess the colleges matched it, and maybe the family kicked in something as well.

this story really got to me. i really hope they catch this guy and the state loses their skirt and enforce the death penalty asap.

i remember reading that the school and her ex boyfriend contributed around $30k.

My only concern about this is that although the Bouncer is an ex-con, the natures of his crimes aren't consistent with a sadistic torture-killer. Armed robbery and drugs is one thing. This is something all together.

Her torture was ritualistic. It wasn't the work of somebody trying to get off - this was hardcore fucked up.

Just like the Central Park Jogger, this case is a "redball" that the police are under pressure to solve as fast as they can. They found a guy they can point a finger at, and now it's just a question of making it stick.

As for the bouncer and victim arguing - How many times have you seen a girl who's had too much to drink get ejected from a club and then just TEE OFF on the bouncer? The news is making this like it's a red flag that the bouncer did it, when it's just an ordinary occurence at every single bar you go to on a Saturday night.

this has the makings of any law & order episode:

the bouncer may make the obvious suspect; but, twenty minutes later, there'll be a twist - it'll wind up being a fellow criminolgy student that learned to commit the perfect crime, but forgot one thing ...
[/quote]

The longer Littlejohn goes without being charged, the shakier the case against him.

They're seeking an indictment; blood found on the ties that bound Imette matched Littlejohn's.

Game over then.

Why'd it take so long? As I understood it, the semen AND the tissue under Imette's fingernails DIDN'T match Littlejohn's.

I bet even if the evidence is overwhelming, that he walks.
