Wouldnt it be great for Lil Jimmy to sit in for a whole show with Ron & Fez.

I don't know. I'd say a segment, not the whole show. Jimmy is a different kind of 3rd mic than the boys are used to, so I think he'd take over a little too much.

Plus, everyone who doesn't like his sick little quips would complain all fucking day and night.

i don't see it being a good fit. i like Jimmy alot 'very funny' but his brand of humor is just a little too 'dirty' for lack of a better word for the 'less dirty' brand of humor that RnF and the staff so masterfully produce... OnA and Jimmy = raunchy funny / RnF and Staff = silly funny

this is a bad idea

Not really. Jim has been on Ron and Fez before, he's a smart guy, it's not like he doesn't know how to adapt his brand of humor to the type which Ron and Fez do. Take for example, Anthony. Anthony does a different type of show than Ron and Fez do, and when Ron and Fez come on O and A, they adapt to their show, and Anthony does likewise when he comes in. On O and A, the humor is in your face, unabashed, cringe, and outrageous, so when Ron and Fez go on, you hear more crazy coke talk from Ronnie and a more pronounced effeminitity from Fezzie. When O and A pop in to Ron and Fez's show, they start doing the subtle, slightly over-your-head-then-laugh-five-seconds-later humor which we love from the buddies.

I've heard Jimmy on the show before, and he's good as a third mic, just as he is on the boys' show.

He would be very hysterical on there for a full day. They obviously like each other, and while I've never known of any set rules for a R&F 3rd chair, I get the impression that they don't want just a parrot of themselves, but someone who could add something different AND someone who gets them and their show. I don't get this preconceived idea that R&F are somehow so more more highbrow because they aren't afraid to be serious from time to time and switch up the conversations, OR that Jimmy can only be one way because that's what everyone is use to. I remember one of the biggest laughs Fezzie had on the first AFRO show was when Norton made some insanly obtuse comment about "My Bodyguard."

i can't stand how O&A do that morning zoo laugh after ever joke Jimmy does. It gets to me how you can actually convince listeners to believe what's a good joke and what's not just by how the hosts react to it.

I don't listen to enough of ONA to comment on the morning zoo laugh comment, but one thing I love about R&F is how they are the opposite of what you said. Quite often, you'll hear Fez laugh at things (and sometimes Ron), and when they do, they actually move away from the mic. You hear the laugh in the background. It makes me believe that they actually are laughing at something that they found to be funny.

He's a differeent machine than R&F. R&F are more show prep.Jimmy once told a disgruntled XM listener that he doesn't do sketch comedy

They also tend to be more subtle, I'd say most of the gags that I laugh at will have absolutely no response in studio.
small doses. I think having an afro show would be better, but having 5 guys fighting for the mike might get to be too much. Fez is the good foil for Ron's comedy - dont mess with it too much. Ron rules.

I'm not sure that they've ever had all 5 in an afro show - maybe have 1/2 hour overlap between the shows to see how it goes. I dont advocate overdoing the mix as each show has it's own taste and it's own following. You know how much the fans love it when things change - right.....

Of all the comedians O&A feature, Bill Burr would probably make the smoothest transition to Ron and Fez for a segment or show. Heard him on a number of diff shows now and just picks up that shows flow.

I'm sure it would be funny, but not as good as when Jimmy's on O&A.

Ron
& Fezs' humor is a little more subtle, while Jimmy's humor is
basically like a frieght train barrelling through someone's living

IMO, keeping the O&A show and Ron and Fez show in two different worlds is the best thing.
