Instead of answering all the email, I am just posting here to make it a little easier. Tomorrow at 10:30am COWHEAD will be fired from Clear Channel. I can not get into the whys and hows yet because HE still has a long negotiating road ahead of him. It is for content on the show that they disagree with. I will keep you CowheadS posted as things progress, but I didn't think it was fair to ignore it any longer.

Its weird listening to Cowhead's show and then satellite later in the same day. He was so handcuffed with what he could do and still got fired for what seems so tame to XM listeners. Good luck to him. He belongs on XM.

I have only heard him talking to O&A, but if he is as funny as everyone says he is, then give him a tryout for a week in mid-days. anything other than more replays would be a blessing unless it was The Booker Show.

thanks for the info on cowhead, i've been trying all week to find out what happenedi was listening to him in my company work truck, didnt want to bring my xm so its all i had to listen too in the mornings, but now i might have to bring it cause all the other stations suck ass here in tampa

The only thing I know about Cowhead is that he's a morning man on Tampa radio.  Apparently the FCC had a problem with one of his shows and he's been on a "vacation" for a while.  I guess it's about to become a permanent one. P.S. - Billy, are you cracking up?            Just curious.

XM needs to dump the crap on 152 and make room for people like Cowhead, and an uncensored non-PC sports show.

let's see, a non-PC sports show........how about THE SPORTS GUYS!!! Scot and Sid w/The Hind and Olive.

To me their show wasnt horrible. I think I liked so much because they were from Brooklyn and talked like people I know. But it wasnt PC at all.

According to Cowhead, the firing wasn't really an issue with the FCC. Clear Channel had some problem with the content of his show. Everything is as clear as mud right now.

I remember Cowhead from being on Bubba's show in Tampa. Did they have a falling out? If not, perhaps he'll join Sirius.

Earlier in the week, Cowhead posted a message on his official Web site that read, "I am not on vacation, nor does my station have any cruise this week or at all. It is for material that aired on my show that is questionable. I don't want to say anymore because there is a good chance that I will be fired this week, and I would rather not say anything that will contribute to that." He also said that the planned Cowhead Show St. Patrick's Day party would not go on, even though 98 Rock would still be broadcasting live from the Bennigan's where the event was supposed to take place. The questionable content may have aired on a segment involving the estranged wife of former Phillies and Marlins baseball player Darren Daulton. I would like to see Cowhead on XM 202. He can't go to 152 since its owned by clearchannel (offtopic but there was an error in XM's DC studios a few days ago and the Hideout was being played at 7:00 on 152). I kinda got pissed when cowhead did the mousetrap thing. Thats O&A's bit! They were doing it on the air for weeks. They had the stalker patti thing, the guy doing it to his hand then balls, then the superball, and then the bit that if you bombed you would get a mousetrap, etc.. Then cowhead does a bit about it on his show. I just find it hard to believe he didn't listen to O&A for 2 weeks and out of no wheres decided to do a bit with mousetraps and I think he did have a falling out with bubba. I read that on his forums.

I really don't know what to make of this Cowhead guy.  It's very cool he is loyal to O&A, and I do remember Ron saying he was in studio the night Al kissed Gay Randy and is friends with Al, but I have no idea who the fuck he really is beyond that or what kind of show he does.I've seen Wackbaggers calling for him to get the now long dead "Golden Ticket" but I think they're doing that without really knowing what his show is like.  They just see a loyal guy getting smacked around here.

He's said that being a fan of Ron and Ron made him decide to go into radio. He runs a good show but he's not so controversial that he needs to be yanked off of free radio.

Bubba asked me to come on his show on Friday as a guest and I gladly accepted. It is important that I keep my name out there and I know Bubba shares the same hatred for the local CC people. I will not bash O and A. Bubba hasn't even spoken bad about them to me nor has he or anyone else asked me to bash them. I am still a big O and A fan. I think their move to Free FM was HUGE and they will have great success. I appreciate Bubba reaching out to me. He has been very supportive. Thanks for the support. If he signs with Sirius good for him. People shouldn't attack him, he has to go where the work is. I know his wife just had a baby, so he's got some bills to pay. If XM is dragging their feet as is often the case then it's their loss.

earlier this week i emailed cowhead via myspace asking him why he is going to sirius. he wrote back (much to my surprise) telling me about being a new dad and needing money. he also said that he spoke to XM and they are taking their time, which he cannot do. he has a family to provide for. I wrote back to him telling him congrads on the kid, good luck and i hope to hear him on XM. I am glad that he will be working again. I say SALUTE!
