Looks like it.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A small Easter display was removed from the City
Hall lobby on Wednesday out of concern that it would offend
non-Christians.

The display - a cloth Easter bunny, pastel-colored eggs and a sign with
the words "Happy Easter'' - was put up by a City Council secretary.
They were not purchased with city money.

Looks like another holiday is being banned from getting any kind of mention.

Ehhh. Easter floats around so much it's really not much of a holiday. What are we celebrating? Some dude rose from the dead? That is a zombie. You're celebrating a zombie. With painted eggs. And candy. See how silly it is? Oh yea, you might have also given up stuff for 40 days before it. And to top it all off you might have walked around with shit on your forehead the beginning of those 40 days.

Offensive to non-Christians? That is offensive to human beings. Silly eggs.

Can't wait to hear Bill O'reilly blow this out of proportion.

How will he blow this out of proportion? I'm upset that this country is doing things to make it a Godless nation.

Also, the Easter bunnny has nothing to do with Easter. If they had a big cross on the lawn of town hall, then I could see someone maybe getting upset about it. Not for a cloth bunny. And wasn't that the alternative to the crucifixtion anyway? They're taking away the evry anti-christian thing that was set up to protect. Sheesh.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of
religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof

Apparently people have very different ideas as to what that simple statement exactly means.

Is a holiday display tantamount to Congress making a law endorsing a specific religion?

Is removing said display prohibiting the free exercise of religion?

Such arguments used to get me angry; now I just accept that people will quibble over just about anything, and public displays shouldn't change what's in your heart, no matter what side you're on.
