<p>Ok folks, heres the deal. I was with someone for about 4 years, after pining away for her for years and being friends with her for almost 5 years before that (9 year friendship total) last valentines day (2005) we ended our relationship </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>not in a good way, really all i wanna say about that. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I played the part of the hurt woman, I was a mess , i really felt we were going to get married, we had spoken about it, i was going to look for an engagement ring when i got my taxes back.. etc.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>So fast forward a few months, I havent been out really, a girl i knew from going to ICP shows (no jokes please) knew all about the stuff, said she liked me we went on a few dates but it didnt work out. i wasnt ready or whatever.. like i said i was playing the woman part.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>So fast forward to sunday, march 26, 2006. Its been just about 11 months since i had a date, and about 13 months since i had sex.</p><p>I met a friend at his job, and he introduces me to a girl he works with, and we hit it off like GANGBUSTERS. You wouldnt believe, i was like wow, shit there are people out there?</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>the three of us hung out all night and i traded info with her.&nbsp; later on around 1 am she gives me a call tells me she thinks im real cute (i was fucking shocked... low opinion of myself) and couldnt believe how well we were getting along. she wanted to hang out just us at her apartment sometime this week. I did this once, and I really didn't want to. I was able to justify it on the basis that the dude was not on the same continent and that apparently she had tried to break it off but it didn't take. As it turns out, she just sucks at breaking it off with people.
The one bad thing about it is that I was never as into her as I thought I was. While she was still technically together with him, I could say to myself that that was what was "wrong" with the relationship, and that somehow, if that got settled, everything would be great. Which turned out to be very not true.
