Something from Unhallowed of course.

Moe should go with the death metal bit. It would make for a real good opening discussion.

Moe,

Earl opened the show with a Morrissey song and admitted he felt down. Ron said the opening music is about the show, not Earl, and suggested that Death Metal Moe pick the opening song for tomorrow's show. They talked about it/you for a while.

Have at it !!

To add on Mike's desciption they made the point that the show opener should energize the show, bring the excitement level up. Since Earls opening was such a downer Ron felt that they need to go the complete otherway to get the show balanced. Death metal is the only way!

Earl must have been depressed yesterday too, picking that Donnie Darko song to
start. That song is beautiful, but makes me want to open a vein.

Metal is the right choice.

Lets be honest, the show opener usually lingers close to "too hip for the room" territory to begin with since Earl took over (cf the wonderboy years). I'm not bashing Earl nor his music choices, I'm just pointing out that imo the music is generally esoteric (by modern pop standards).

Moe definitely play your bands music for the opening and if you get to play music coming in and out of the breaks get a vibe from Ronnie to see what he is in the mood to hear. That is one thing I love about hanging out in the studio Ronnie would let me play the music coming back from the break and if they were talking about different topics I would give J Dubs music to play.

Have fun buddy.

Thanks everybody. I totally forgot about the replay. I should have sent out a MySpace bulletin about it!

Never the less, thank you Ron, Fez and Earl. Ron brought me up, Ron and Fez went back and forth about me, Earl was the one I contacted and physically got the MP3 and then everybody said they liked it on air. Fez plugged our name, song and CD a mess of times too and then Earl dropped a great quote about the song.

Fucking awesome.

Thank you again Ron, Fez and Earl.

perhaps Ron, Fez, & Earl should do a day every week where a RF.Net boardmember picks the opening music. make the board a little more interactive with the show.
i'm not sure how to go about doing it, or how'd it would work out, but worth considering.

You don't think we are capable? Shit. There is more musical diversity here (and good stuff too) than any other place on the net. I know my list would kill. Unhallowed even got great reviews.

Plus we got MikeyBoy. Second only to Earl in musical knowledge!!
