View Full Version : Circumcision - Pro Or Con?

First a little background on me: I'm not Jewish. I was born and raised Catholic, but I am circumcised. So, when my son was born, eight years ago, it never even crossed my mind not to have him circumcised. The doctor asked us if we wanted it and my wife and I said "sure" right on the spot; no discussion, previous to that or since.

Now, my brother-in-law (wife's brother) is expecting a kid. His wife is a nurse (a lowly elementary school nurse, mind you) and the subject of circumcision recently came up. My brother-in-law is not circumcised and they've decided not to have one if it's a boy. That's fine, its a personal decision. But, my cunt of a sister-in-law won't leave it at that. She starts in about how barbaric it is and how there's no medical reason for it. All the while knowing that we had our son circumcized. Like me and my wife are Dr. Mengele or something. Thing is, even though I'm much older and wiser I'm not sure that if I had another boy, or if my son was born now, I wouldn't make the same decision. Am I a bad person?

Anywho, this poll might be a little confusing but I'm trying to gauge what the percentage of cut and uncut men are and also whether you would or would not have your son circumcised if he were born tomorrow.

I might have to make this decision in a few months and I'm almost 100 positive
we'd get it done. "I don't want it to look like a fucking hoagie" to quote Ron...

I am, and my kids are too.

It gets me when the guys who are uncut say they get more sensation. How the hell do they know, if they've never been cut?

Hey...two things. First, when did Ron and Fez discuss this? I must have missed that show. Secondly, I am proud to say that I am, as of right now, the only uncircumcised guy to vote in the poll. I don't see what the big deal is one way or another. I'm glad that I wasn't but I don't view it as some kind of barbaric ritual or anything. I just don't see the logic behind circumcising a child, aside from religious reasons. Personally, I don't buy the hygenic argument that circumcised means naturally cleaner since we all should shower enough to be clean anyway.

They discussed a couple of weeks ago when there was a story in the news about a divorced couple going to court about it. They have a kid who is older (like 7 or 8 I think). One parent wants him cut and the other one doesn't, so they are suing each other.

Just to confuse things a little more. I am circumcised, we had my first son circumcised and my second son we decided not to do it.

Not long after my first son was born, we got into one of those discussions with a cunt of a relative too and we gave in to the pressure and didn't do it on our second son. I wish we had now.

I am dreading the day when the un-cut one comes to me and asks why his weenie looks different than his brother's.

What I've learned so far is that army helmets greatly outnumber anteaters (at least on this board), and that it's a generally, universally accepted notion that every guy wants his son to look like him, whatever that might be. Thanks, I'm feeling better about myself and my decision.

Here's my take: if your son wants his meat to be filleted, he can make that decision when he's old enough. It's obviously not as easy as when done at birth, but I dont think it's anyone's place to decide what to do with his body, especially since there's no overwhelming evidence that circumcision is beneficial.

They have no point of reference to make the statement. How do we know those extra nerve endings make much of a difference?

ok, I am not Jewish. I am trimmed up down there, and if I were to have a son, he too would have his beeferoni trim, lean and mean.

Torker Jr.'s Junior is trimmed, just like his old man's. He still has some slack at the end, room to grow I guess. For the record, I didn't want to do it, that was Mrs. Torker's call.

be sure to tell your sister in law that when he gets older, the number of cuts greatly outweigh the number of uncuts, so when he starts having the first few sexual experiences, the teenage girls will think its funny looking and make fun of him. this happened to my friend who moved here from italy and he had a circumcision at the age of 16.

I say snip it, and give fat babies lipo while they're at it.
Being uncut did Rick Delgado a lot of good. Everybody knows who the uncut kids are in the locker room and they get to come up with fun little names for them.

From the perspective of a mother of sons: With boy #1, I planned to circumcise. My mom and husband were the only ones who'd changed his diaper before the doctors came to do the circ, after which I immediately felt sick and wrong for letting those strangers take my baby away just to hurt him. He ended up with lasting complications (which you DON'T want me to tell you about), and when I asked my son's urologist how I could prevent this happening with future children, he said, "Do not circumcise them." So we decided we wouldn't circumcise our second baby, we'd just explain that when daddy and big brother were born, that was something they did to boys, but now they don't do it anymore, blah blah whatever. And then he was born.

And then I saw it.

And then I sent him down to have his foreskin painfully clipped away, because eww.

However - As a woman, I tend to think that cut or uncut, big or small, cock is cock. It don't matta. It sucks that you get teased by other guys as a kid (though I understand that these days it's about 50/50 in the elementary school locker room) but we ladies kinda dig the gentile peen. It's something different - like Arby's. (Except not so much like arby's.)
