ok know i know your all gonna bust my ass and be like "who the hell cares duke your 14" but FU  ok so there is this girl (very hot btw) and i liked her...well she ended up liking me too but i didnt ask her out cause im a dumbass  the other day i get a IM saying "dan im mad at you" and finally i get the reason why she says "dan...rob told me (yes yes yes my former friend rob KTMrider) that u were only gonna use me for sex" (ok mind u...) ok anyway i explained to her im not like that and idk were cool i guess..  oh yeah now here is the other part...me and rob are no longer friends and now he is trying to go out with the chick i like and as i already said he lied saying that i was gonna use her just so she would hate me and is trying to ruin my life....now i dont wanna fuckin just stand here and let rob win what do i do ORCALE!!!

The fact that she already likes you means you've won 75% of the battle. But if you don't care about your former best friend that much, you could let him win the battle, but win the war. If you're dating a girl, the person you most fear is the guy friend, in this case you. If you want to hit it with this girl, I would suggest that you work it with this girl in the long term. You could always play the friend angle, and just bide your time, trying to undermine their relationship, but you have to be subtle about it, and a lot of guys can't pull the whole friend thing off. So I would blow her off as much as possible and act mad. And if she cares about you, she'll ask why, and play like you don't want to tell her. But eventually come clean about your friend dicking you over, and that he ruined it for you, which was a shame because you really liked her. If she already liked you, she'll melt like buttah. Or you could just keep flirting with her and hook it up.
Don't do any of the above if there's a potential of getting your ass beaten.

You're 12!!I think the best thing you can do in these situations is (and I'd do this face to face by the way), tell her point blank that whatever Rob told her was a lie. Nothing comes across more genuine than when you walk up to the person who has a perception of you based on someone's lie than to be open and frank and tell her it's a lie. That doesn't mean over-reacting, and it doesn't mean getting emotional about the lie. Instead act maturely regardless of how you feel about what he said and say something like "Look, I just want you to know that whatever Rob told you..." blah blah blah whatever it is, just make it clear that she can believe whatever she wants, but at the end of the day you know the truth and that this is it, take it or leave it. Be prepared that she may choose to believe Rob's story, but regardless if what he said is true, then you can tell her in all honesty that it's a lie and this is the truth (whatever it is), and that you just want her to be aware, basically putting the ball back in her court. I had a similar situation to this is college and this girl I liked was told something that was bullshit about me. I pulled her aside one day and was open and honest, I told her that I was aware of what the guy had said and I assured her it was not true. She ultimately believed me. The point I'm making is that regardless of whatever this guy said about you, if you confront the person who was told this lie and you make your argument that I have found more often than not you will walk away with them believing you.Now keep in mind though that this will likely also mean that for some time (if she believes you) that she'll likely keep an eye on you or an antenna out for anything else someone might say about you. In other words going forward for a while watch what you say around people who run in the circles that you, and Rob and this girl run in. Someone may ultimately say something else to her and then you're sunk. Which isn't to say that you are lying or anything, but rather that this or that person may be more of a friend to Rob than you. Like I said though, be honest, be prepared for possible rejection. I have rarely been accused of lying though when I have I generally like to make it clear to them that I sleep pretty well at night because my conscience is clear. Let her know that. Good luck and let us know what happens.

When she says she "wants to be friends" that could mean two things: she wants to let you down easy because you're a nice guy but she has no interest in you what-so-ever. Or, she really likes you "as a friend" and wants you there for emotional support. Either way, I say fuck her in the ass. She's playing mind games with you. There's nothing wrong with having a friend who wants emotional support, but if you have a thing for her, and she leads you on only to tell you that she doesn't "like like" you, she's bad news.

One of my friends is a sucker for this type of chick. He'll befriend a girl and throw it in my face that he's gonna go out with her, but it always ends with him "just being friends" with her, because they really just use him for emotional support and he gets very little in return.

Oh come on guys.  You know you were 14 once worrying what some girl was gonna do.  Most of us were in our 20's and 30's still worrying about that kinda bullshit.  Don't piss all over Duke here.  I just wanted him to stop talking to her because all she was doing was teasing him and it'll just mess with his head even more and hurt him.  I want to see him respect himself and demand the same kind of respect from other people.
