I heard Cal Ripken listens to Liqiud Metal when he does........... well, things best not spoken of on this board.<br />
<p> </p><p>It's definitely a great station. I just listened to Hillary Duff's cover of "Silent Carnage"</p>

<p>I don't mean to change the subject but, it's good to have XM-42 back, I missed that instant blast of energy while it was gone.</p>

I was so close to posting a listening thread. This will do. I am really glad to have this back on as well. Most of the stuff I have heard and it is a nice mix between all the extreme metal varieties. Just being able to hear some new stuff to add to my collection is going to be great. I was really happy to hear Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face and Demiricous - Matador today. Also the throwback to some classic Accept and some Celtic Frost is always welcomed. Very nice refresher to some music I have not pulled off the racks in quite some time.

I listened to an Opeth song yesterday, but I listened online, where it's been for months.<br />

<p>Hell yeah it's great to have this station on!! Great stuff!</p><p>However, at my advanced age, I still feel compelled to flip over to 41 from time to time. I love my hair bands!</p>

<p>This is so werid. I find myself actually leaving a XM music channel on now. Since O&A was a replay I just left Liquid Metal on during my ride home from work. Fucking awesome.</p><p>One really cool thing was "Curse of the Pharohs" by Mercyful Fate this morning on the way to work. This station isn't perfect but it's pretty fucking good so far. </p><p>I keep forgetting it's even there! O&A was replaying that annoying bit where Patrice called some girl form that Lengerie Bowl a "cunt" and she walked out, so I turned my XM stream off. Shit, I turned it back on when I remembered I could just turn to Liquid Metal.</p><p>Yes I know, it's always been there but now that it's back on the full subscription I seem to be remembering it's there more.</p>

<p>No, by no means perfect. XM is catering to the entire continent of North America. But decent? Hell Yes!!</p><p>When the dopey Worst Of's are running, I got Boneyard, Liquid Metal, Top Tracks, and the shitty Pop and Disco(crystal?) for the wife!</p><p>No commercials. It's all good!</p>

XM42 is the only music station I listen to besides Fungus 53. The fact that I heard "Darkness Descends" from Dark Angel yesterday impressed me greatly.
I am a big fan of Gene Hoglan who has been the drummer for Dark Angel, Death, Strapping Young Lad, Dreams of Damnation, and Old Man's Child.
Excellent channel!
