Does anybody know the exact date of the 2002 show where
Al Dukes screamed at East Side Dave? I know it must have been close to
Al Duke's final days, as he was gaining the confidence to yell at
guests and callers. Now, I think it was ESD.  I
remember Dukes was taunting this person because they had a show on some
New Jersey station and claimed they were in New York radio.  Anybody want to correct or help me out?  -Scamps.

i could be wrong ... i don't think it was ESD, but "matty fridays" (who may go by another name here) ... al's only real retort was making food industry and market size jokes ...i miss broken-spirited al

Funny thing....Al is hated as much at "Free FM" as he was back in the WNEW days..."Boring Blog of the Week" EEEECCCCCCKKKKHHHHHH! A piece on tomorrow night @7 pm 92.3 in New York.......I am preparing the tub and razorblades for this one.....An Example of his fine work.... Tonight's ""What's the Deal About Watches????""" The "talent" shit all over him.I don't mean to plug another station, but when you suffer through something this aweful at work, one needs to share.

i loved al dukes.  there are some many funny bits with him.  if this o&a/ free fm thing happens i would love to hear him back in the mix to some degree.

I always enjoyed Al. He certainly knew how to go with a bit. And plus, he climbed into the ring with Earl when he was basically on his deathbed. I mean, c'mon he went to the fucking wall for the show. Edit: Not that I dislike East Side. I think he brings a great and different energy when he's on mic, and it seems like Ron really, really has been havin a good time with him. That shit from yesterday with the poems was hilarious; the short story even moreso.

If you take a look over at the Free FM site and cruise around the Booker Show page you'll fine the "Boring Blog". This is Al's blog and it is classic Dukes: people letting their dogs shit on the sidewalk, not being able to buy underwear in a store, no one courtesy waving when driving anymore, closing the lids on toilets before flushing so germs don't come "flying out". It's an absolutely great bit, he plays it so well, and he really is a pretty funny dude. God do I not miss Al Dukes  Seconded with emphasisDude, he pissed his pants, pissed his fucking pants, for the show. say what you like about the wonderful Al DukesYeah he got shit on, on the air big time.lost it on the air, for realbut when the blink shit hit the fan...Al was still standing, because he was more than knowing to go with a bit...it wasn't soon after that that he was working in corporate on a national level.when his services where needed in another area,Al went there also with a very distinguished title for a NY #1 market station he did have to be the most boring person to ever share an office with.  We would always Be the only 2 in early and it was like talking to a dead rock Love him or hate him on the air....like Anthony used to say and sing with Celine Dion....I'm a survivor!!!so far Al...yes you are
