View Full Version : How often do you shower?

Sometimes I'll skip a night if I did nothing. Is that gross?

Plus, since I take so long in there, I try to save water from time to time. But with all my hair it's hard. I get that untamed hair when I don't wash it, fast.

Just curious.

i hate showering at school in the "communal" showers... just feels weird ((not to mention having someone and their bf choose the stall RIGHT NEXT TO you and uhm... yeah. there's 5 other stalls to choose from... go fuck in there)).

i try not to wash my hair every night coz it dries it out. but I try to shower at least once a day. Bubble baths are an occasional treat that I looooooooooooooove to do in my bathroom at home.

I just can't do the bath.

To be honest, I haven't had a bath since I grew my hair. How do you wash it in a bath? Sounds tough.

Every day. Some days (day off) I skip the whole hair routine. I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with long curly hair. My kid is starting to make fun of me for having "fancy" shampoos and conditioners.

I shower just about every day, sometimes I'll skip on a Saturday. I read somewhere that it's good to take 1 or 2 days off a month to let the good bacteria grow back, the stuff that keeps you healthy. But those are the days that I am just sitting around the house or not planning on doing much of anything. Never long showers, though. I don't see the point. Just get in, clean yourself, get out. It can all be done in under 10 minutes.

Baths? Only with the girlfriend, but afterwards we usually shower off. It's more of a soaking/bubble bath/<censored for young readers> type of thing.

Oh, and I fucking love the shower poof thing. I switched to it years ago and never want to go back to bar soap. I am currently using some Dove Ultra Moisturizing soap, supposed to keep your skin soft and smooth. Makes me smell pretty too.

during the work week, I shower 2 times a day. On the weekends, it varies on what is going on. Like today I havent showered, if we go out, i will, if we stay in, I will not. Sunday is bath day. I have arthritus in my shoulders and one knee, and need surgery to fix them, which I will not do until i am older. The bath in epson salt and body wash helps. On a day like this, with the weather so raw, I hurts to walk to the fridge, or to lift my arm up over my head, but again the baths help.
To answer Moes question, how to get clean in a bath? I shower first, then soak in the tub.
i have a rubber duck to take in the tub with me, just in case anyone was wondering.

I figure I miss 1 day a week, so it would be about 6 times in the shower a week for me.

Lately
though, I've been going through a really annoying issue with my
hair. About a year ago I changed my hair style from a short all
around cut to enough to allow me to comb/style it back. In the
last month though, I've grown it out a little more but its a huge pain
in the ass.

I have straight hair, but it puffs out ridiculously
after showering. So now its a big production with hair spray/gel
to get it down hours before I'm going anywhere. A little bit of
hair seems like a lot of work..makes me want to cut it off.

Any help here?

I've also heard it's good to skip a day. But if I do, my hair starts curling and waving like nothing. Just one of the benefits of being a greasy dago.

If you skip washing your hair for a day and it feels greasy, put some drywall dust
in it. It soaks up the grease and gives your hair that messy day-old look without
the gross feel.

Will just regular household dust do the trick? I have that in abundance.

I always shower in the morning, except on the weekends. On weekends I shower before I go out. I usually take a bath at night too.

Hair washing is a different story... I'm so lazy that I don't feel like washing, drying, etc. in the morning so I usually do it every other day... sometimes every 3rd day... I don't want to cut my hair strictly because now that it's long, I can throw it up into a messy bun and it doesn't look greasy. It's supposed to be better to not wash your hair every day anyway

This is what the stylist at my old fancy schmanzy salon told me anyway. If your hair is naturally very oily you can wash every day, but my hair tends to be dry.

When I painted houses, we used to work with a spackler who was a fucking artist. An absolute genius with spackle. It was unreal, most of the time it didn't even need to be sanded. He was the best. He was also out of his mind. He would walk around on his stilts to spackle ceilings in short shorts with is dick hanging out of the bottom and have converstions with the homeowner, he threatened to take me in the woods and zip-tie me to a tree and leave me there on several occasions, he was the inventor of the phrase, "I put it on and I take it off," as in "Hey, Donnie, how you doin'?" "Ehhh, you know. I put it on and I take it off." Ahhhhh, spackle humor. I really enjoyed that job. Painting was a lot of fun.

Moe, I asked you a question, from me, dont you see how you are tryin to spin it into you being attack. I asked one thing about why you posted something, nothing was personal. You just wont ever get it
Im layin this out right here. I have not attacked you in this thread. Im saying something in direct subject of this thread and what happened in it. And you say you are gonna keep ending it, then leave. I have done nothing to you personally in this thread. You are tryin to make it into you being attacked and tryin to tell me what to do. You are not a mod, and obviously none are stopping me cause I have not attacked you in here.
Knock it off spoon, seriously. I don't understand why you seem to think you're above the rules of the board. You've been warned and banned for this before. It's not your role to say what people can and can't do on the board. If you don't like Moe, don't engage him at all or we'll reinstate the ban.

The downside of this thread is that it turned into a bitch fight.
The upside is that everyone smelled great doing it.

thanks. i loved the look of disgust over my inlaws faces today. they looked sick and pissed. I am never like this usually, just something i have been feeling lately makes me want to say fuck it all. One day last week i think Ron put it as when a comedian gets on stage and says "ok, tonight i am going to clear the room." thats how i feel right now. FUCK IT ALL
