Some caller mentioned a movie today that Ron was talking about regarding numbers and the universe? It sounded pretty cool - anyone catch the name of it?

I missed the name but it may have been Pie. It's not written out but it's the symbol for Pie.

As to pronunciation; it's Pie, not Pee, and as for how to spell pi, it's really not 'spelled' except in translation; it's a letter, not a word, the [16th?] letter of the greek alphabet. The movie box shows the lower case letter, the Uppercase looks sorta like TT.

I was sorely disappointed in the movie.

Ron also brought up game theory and that is, for me, one of the most exciting areas of math around. The go-to book, for me, is Poundstone's 'Prisoners Dilemma'

Link to Amazon

Scroll down to the 'Classical Prisoner's Dilemma on Wikipedia for an example, and past that for other's:

Prisoner's Dilemma

From wikipedia:

Pi (upper case Π, lower case π or ϖ) is the sixteenth letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals it has a value of 80.

In Greek, the letter is pronounced /pi?/ (as in pee); in modern English, it is pronounced /pa??/ (as the word pie), in particular when referring to the mathematical constant (see below).

Pi is pronounced pee. I was making a statement how we as americans incorrectly pronounce the letter as Pie. But go anywhere else in the world, and it is indeed pee.
