How often do you clip your fingernails?

I clip them every Sunday down to the fingertip. I can't stand long fingernails on myself, whether it be their appearence or the fact that one wrong move will have them painfully splitting halfway up the nail. It can also get pretty dirty up there

<p>I'm bad. I bite mine. </p><p>I used to have fake nails (kept pretty short) and I'd have to get a manicure every week. It was a pain in the ass The mold freaked me out. Water got between my real nail bed and the fake nail and mold grew. I told the manicurist to remove them immediately. Gross. </p>

I hardly ever cut them because I use the metal file on my Swiss Army Knife almost daily.&nbsp; It's equal parts nervous habit and the fact that when I do clip my nails I always seem to wind up with an ingrown nail a few days later.&nbsp; <br />

All I know is my index fingernails barely grow at all. Everything else seems to grow at the same rate
