Some may be surprised, but I chose "wish it were better."  My frustration stems from  my own personal feelings that it's a not great situation getting worse, but the despite losing west coast a.m. drive, it's not a huge change from where they already were.

I guess I am still one of the suckers waiting "for big things to happen." It's not really a big change for me personally. However it just follows along the course of R&F getting shafted all the way back from the NEW days, through JFK, and now it seems to me it's happening again.I'll try and be cautiously optimistic.

Opie said that if they needed to go past 11 they would and that sucks obviously because that cuts into Ron and Fez.  O&A dont really seem to give a shit about anybody but themselves but like Ron said he doesnt need to ride anyone's coat tails and he's right because they have a better show.  Whatever, I wonder how Ron and Fez really feel about it.

I chose "too soon to tell." Opie said this
morning that R&F were going to get bigger with them and I believe
him.  I think that O&A probably want better for R&F but
XM, for whatever reason, was a little skeptical to put them on any
other time except middays.

Perhaps I'm drinking the Kool Aid but I am convinced and have been from the beginning that this will be great for both programs ultimately. I don't want any problems for Ron and Fez and I wish them nothing but the most success, though I think people need to think positive and hope this will be for the best. I can understand the concerns though I'm happy for O&A and I am convinced they will take care of Ron and Fez ultimately. Just my opinion.

The only way would be by customer surveys, and I'm not aware of them doing any of those.

I say "To soon to tell."I still get the sense that they have been getting their bearings on XM the past few months, and having O&A lead into them is helping them build a larger audience. A better time slot HAS to be on the horizon.

O&A said as much today on FreeFM. And another thing, O&A's contract only runs through this September. So the whole XM situation could change drastically in the next year. And have you listened to JV and Elvis? Its one of the worst radio shows I've ever heard. Make Roth sound like Howard Stern. AND they were noticeable absent from today's broadcast lineup. PLus look at the rest of the lineup. Jim Cramer? Jake and Jackie? How long do you think Penn Gilette will keep doing his stupid one hour show? R&F do a few kick ass AFRO shows on FreeFM, O&A get good ratings (neither of which I doubt for a second) and they'll be looking to hire them for the connection to the O&A listeners.   <blockquote />

Logically, it's way to soon to tell, but my gut says that RnF are getting fucked all over again.  Opie is too in love with that afternoon drive replay.  I hope I'm wrong.

I voted "wish it was better" because I want that 4th hour. Not that I expected it to happen with this set of changes but ...I think that sooner or later R&F will end up simulcasting on XM/terrestrial radio.But I can't help but get the feeling that Ron and Fez are happy right where they are for the time being. The don't strike me as having the big egos as O&A do. R&F seem to want to do their show, collect some pay and go home when it is over. And that don't make them bad people.

I know a few folks on here aren't fans of Opie, but he brought the buddays over from WJFK, and I don't think he would do that just to fuck them over. Also Ron is way to savy to let the show get pushed around.As reccently as last week Opie mentioned that big things were in store for the Ron and Fez show. Right now I am a little down, but have faith that it will work out.As Ron said today, it isn't R&F vs O&AI say too early too tell

And didn't Lazlow already have tryout show a few weeks ago? I guess things aren't happening. What will you say in a few weeks if all of a sudden there's all those shows you mention? I guess that will clear the way for the new gripes about how there arent replays anymore or whatever the new complaint is.

I'm not happy about it. I'd like to see an afternoon drive slot for my own selfish reasons, but at the very least, I think they deserve and need a fourth hour. Who knows, it seems that the XM 202 schedule could be in a rapid state of flux in the next few months.
