I don't understand all the O and A hatred. I mean I get a little sick of all their anti Stern crap, but they are still funny. Also they brought the buddays to XM, and no one else. Do you really think they brought them over to screw them later on?Maybe there is more to the anti-Opie stuff than I am aware, if so can someone fill me in?I just think it's like Ron said today, it's not a matter of picking sides, you can like both shows.

I enjoy O & A but like R & F much more.The only decent radio I get livin' in the Nevada "nowhere" is XM. I've really grown to love The Ron and Fez Show and I want more of their show.Give R&F their own channel!!!!!!!!!

In all honesty, I really like Anthony and think he's an incredibly talented guy.  He's also very personable, and in the times I've been in his company he's always been a "regular guy."Opie, on the other hand, comes off as a smarmy, "too cool for the room" prick.  Even on the air he exudes an incredible amount of insecurity which he attempts to compensate for by acting like he's above it all.  His constant whining and need to try and prove he actually belongs in the upper echelon of radio grates on me.   I suppose everybody has something they find extremely distasteful in other people.  For me it just happens to be fake tough guys who whine like bitches.

I've been reading all day and for the most part it has been, "OaA are okay, but I like RaF more". That makes sense, being that this is the official, unofficial RF forum.  I don't see all the hate that everyone seems to be seeing I guess.

i love both shows. O&A are funny as hell. But I did get XM for R&F, hands down. I too am tired of hearing "big things are going to happen", really? When? give us a time frame, a week, a month, etc. enough with the BS, just do it.

BTW, the O&A show yesterday was lackluster. i hope it gets better. The XM portion was dead on.

No hate from me (believe it or not) - just frustrated that O&A's recent good fortune has been slow to translate to R&F good fortune. I'm a R&F fan who thinks they do the best radio show ever and will always put their interests firs, but I don't say that trying to divide or tear down O&A - it's just one fan's opinion of what I personally like. I have some really good friends who are O&A fans, and I want them to be able to enjoy any radio they want too. And speaking of which, the majority of O&A fans have been really cool with regards to R&F - I really like the guys at opieanthony.net and opaktool.com - and if you want to be really honest, the most critical people I've seen of Opie and Anthony on the internet have been people who still consider themselves fans of their show. People just need to get a thicker skin sometimes - myself included.

I may be going out on a limb here trying to analyze everyone on the board but here it goes.Mind you this is just a theory.Old WNEW fan are annoyed because O and A 's actions had a direct effect on Ron and Fez during the whole ST. patrick's thing. That really put the nail in the coffin of WNEW which lead to R and F going to DC which also lead to a majority of NY fans not being able to listen to the DC show. (I knew there were ways to listen but I never figured them out till the very end and then WJFK started streaming, so moot point)DC fans may be annoyed because essentially O and A brought Rand F to XM stealing them from DCJust a theoryO and A moves have effected Ron and Fez and those occasions and maybe thats what make the RF fans annoyed.

I've been listening to O and A since the very first day in philly wysp, and i can honestly say their show has changed they act like they're so much better than everyone else opie does kinda act too cool for the room i wont complain too much b/c i still listen so i cant complain i think they're wasting their time with Norton though, he's kinda funny but Bill Burr, Patrice, and vos are much better. Norton's better than bob kelly i guess.

I'm guessing most of you didn't get XM until Ron & Fez came over.If you've had it for any amount of time before that, you should know that, for whatever reason, changes at XM go at a very slow pace. If there are "big plans", don't expect them to happen for awhile. Not because it's Ron & Fez, but because it's XM.When O&A first came on the platform, there were people in cubicles outside their studio. I took about a year from when E-Lo said they would be out of there, until they actually were.So, it would be nice if people would calm down with the whole "I'm sick of Opie saying there's big plans on the way" schtick. There very well could be. It's just not going to happen with anything resembling speed, as nothing at XM does.

I can certainly understand and respect peoples concerns over things with this new move by O&A. Though I can honestly say that I feel that the show is getting better and better. Sure it's just two shows in on the Free FM show but I am liking it more and more. I can't wait for the "welcome back" calls to subside, but aside from that the technical stuff will be fixed shortly so I'm pretty happy about the new show. As for Ron and Fez and the big things for them, I agree, I wish we knew more and had a better idea of what the future holds but I'm being patient and hopeful that it'll all work out ultimately to something good for both shows.

No one hates O&A, or at least I don't.  I am a little more than concerned that they're going to have to tone the subject matter to be bland to cut it on Free FM, but I will give them time to entertain me.We are pissed that O&A make moves without considering Ron and Fez.  We hear "Big Things are coming" but then O&A shuttle R&F around the midday schedule just like Hoo Hoo Howie did to Bubba the Douche Sponge, and O&A RAILED Howie for that.We're just sick of Ron and Fez getting the fucking shaft is all.

Has anyone considered the idea of Ronnie and Fezzie not wanting  to
go back to terrestrial radio?  I am a LOOOONG time fan and in m
opinion, yes the show has changed in many ways.  SOme good some
not so much.  But at the end of the day Ron and Fez ( the people)
seem MUCH happier in this current gig.  They get to say what they
want and DO whatever they want and stay under the radar.  Ronnie
has always said that's the position they like to be in.  So before
going on and on about how "fucked" they are, or about he "worst
timeslot in history"...........maybe that's kinda how they like it?

I enjoy OnA but I've stated in another thread that the balance of
Opie and Anthony to Ron and Fez doesn't make sense in any way. 
(Even in an audience sense)However, I'd MUCH rather hear a few
minutes of the show live and stay up all night listening to the replays
than hear Ron and Fez on FreeFM.  Anyone who says the FreeFM OnA
show is "Fine"/"Good"/"Same" is just lying.  They're constantly
pressured to take a break every 15-20 minutes, and it hurts the flow of
the show.  I forgot how annoying dancing around curse words and
innuendos is.  Its almost unlistenable. 
RnF's ability to go an hour and half without break is a HUGE
deal to me, and I don't want it taken away even if I have to hear them
on Internet Radio Stations.

Not a bad theory, although to be 100% honest I don't remember too many people blaming O&A for R&F going to DC, and I can't think of a DC person that is annoyed that R&F are on XM or in New York.Washingtonians grew to love them when they were on at nights, tape delayed AND in New York. Sure, for a couple of years, it was nice to have them "free" (if that's what you mean when you have 20 minutes of commercials an hour) and "accessible," but i really don't think anyone got their feelings hurt or blamed O&A for this. If they were lured away from a station and company they just loved more than anything, then maybe O&A would earn a hairy eye-ball, but that was never the case, and everyone understood than and dug it. And since they've been at XM, (with the exception of the high schoolers) I don't know of too many of the DC regulars that haven't participated, called, dropped by at least once since they've been in NY. Hell, on the final WJFK show there was a studio full of DC listeners yelling "Your Mom's BOX!" Not much more supportive than that, imo.

We are pissed that O&A make moves without considering Ron and Fezso if Ron and Fez were offered the morning slot and they wanted it they should go to O&A first to make sure its okay with them?  thats like saying if i was offered a promotion at work that i should go to my work friends first and make sure its fine with them.  sorry, but its a deal O&A obviously wanted and they shouldn't have to hold back their own careers to make sure it also benefits their friends.  i'm sure if they could help RF out they would, but at this early stage they probably have no choice in the matter.

edgy and funny comedian. Until he sold his soul for Carson's job. Then

You don't have to get up early.You don't have to go to bed early. You don't have to worry about how late you stay up.On Ronnys' side, he could be there to send his kids off to school and be there when they get home.Sounds like a good deal to me.

Ya know, I woke up late this morning like I do most Sundays, flipped on 202 right before 12 knowing that's the usual time I get Ron and Fez, and was about to start cooking some lunch when their outro music starts.  What's this?  Shit, that's right.  The new "BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING" replay times!  HORRAY!Now instead of Ron and Fez I get to hear Friday's Free FM replay!  WOW!  I get to pay for FM Friendly radio conversations!  I get to PAY to hear what the government tells me is appropriate for an adult to hear!  NEATO!I am starting to dislike O&A's show now.  I am getting so angry I can't even find humor in thier show if it was funny.
