<p>Tenbatz, I dont disagree at all on the Condo thing; someone is finally trying to get AP out of the 'Beirut-on-the-Atlantic' phase it's been in, I'm just not convinced yet that the peeps are doing it right, meaning people arent gonna like living in those condos until AP is safe, and the crime there is still very very bad, shootings all the time, blah blah blah.</p><p>They need to address what the people who put up the money havent done [much] yet: what else besides the condos. Sure theyre the cash cow to bring people/$$$ to AP, but they need more then the occasional show at Convention Hall, the local clubs, and the local small merchants are yelling about skyrocketing rents.</p><p>I'll admit I dont know the whole deal with AP; it's so much politics and $$$ my eyes just glaze over.</p>

Like 10 years ago I was working with a friend of mine who&nbsp;had a video game route and went down there all the time.&nbsp; There was this strip joint called Extreme Farenhiet.&nbsp; It was a rundown motel that they made into a strip club/whore house.&nbsp; the chicks all had coke habits but were hot.&nbsp;&nbsp;I dont remember much else about the town.

<hr width="100%" size="2" />That's about it.&nbsp; It was started but, due to corruption in town politics among other things, it never got finished.<br />
<p>There's a pretty big gay population there now.&nbsp; My wife and I
wandered into one of the last hotels still going downtown and wound up
at a gay square dance at the hotel bar.&nbsp; We had a bunch of drinks
and it actually wound up being pretty fun evening.&nbsp;</p>
<p>There's another sorta rough bar around the corner from the Stone
Pony where you can get a game of pool and a beer.&nbsp; I got yelled at
by a crack-whore there.&nbsp;</p>
<p>It's weird too thet a few miles north or south and there are bazillion dollar houses.&nbsp;</p>
